Seems like the big genocides usually have another step "disarm the population". This seems like a key step that has not yet happened in the USA and would be hard to pull off at this point.

Then blame the ensuing market crash on support for Trump, much as the market had an initial crash the election night of 2016, which was initially blamed on Trump's potential win.
