Wow! So the Chinese have been doing you a big favor by flooding you
with their pollution, since that's forced you to prepare for the
day when they flood you with their virus!

What kind of pandemonium are you expecting?

Like what happened during MERS ( empty streets and stores that damaged the economy) only on steroids. I remember Koreans leaving the country when MERS hit. The rich and upper middle classes fled the country. Now there is no where to go. I don't expect looting or riots, I expect traffic pile ups as people flee Seoul and economic ruin.

The Lunar New Year holiday has just ended, so mass transit has been packed. A lot of the people I seen around have been mainlanders. God, I hope I haven't been infected.

Saw a video that claimed the actual number of cases in China is actually 90,000. With all the hysteria online, it's impossible to tell what's true and what's not. I'm not convinced this is any kind of biological weapon, though.

We've had a lot of previous scares with Ebola, SARS, Bird Flu, and others, so I'm not yet convinced now is truly time to start anticipating an imminent pandemic.

Mongolia has closed its border with China, closed its schools, and banned all public gathers in response to the virus.

The pandemic can't be that dangerous. CNN only talks about Kobe...what's his name again? Oh, yeah. That guy. The basketball player who died his in private helicopter.

The way so people are talking on TV, the real shame is that we didn't rename the US after him before he died. I'm sure AOC will move quickly to rectify the situation.

I work in a suburb of Seoul city. Today some people in my office were wearing masks, even when talking with clients. One of my co-workers asked if I had a mask, when I said I did, he demanded I put it on and not take it off until I went home after work. It's lunchtime, on the streets I noticed many the people wearing brand new white masks. I went to a department store to buy lunch. All the 95 masks are sold out. I have one mask, an 80, and I bought 4 more 80 masks. After work I'll look for '95' grade masks. 35% of the people I saw during lunch were wearing masks. All but one were new.
