Higher inflation and negative inflation result in lower PE ratios - we know that from more than 100 years of stock market history. So yes, your message is noted with gratitude for the information.
The speed at which the message sinks in to the market and the main response "it is time to sell" resulting in a series of lower highs and then a crash as panic sets in, is a seperate debate.
My own current thinking is to await the coming sitting on the sidelines and jump in once matters are clearer. Not sure if this is possible, of course?
The problem with stock markets (and including all speculative investments) is that they easily make fools of us all!
