Vincey baby, notice how I've been shining with my uranium and lithium plays for the last two years? Add BTC to that and few can touch me.vincecate wrote: Tue Sep 07, 2021 11:12 am

It turns out that I do know what I'm doing.
Now, the question is, when do I get out. What's your guess, Vince, regarding the best time to exit equities safely?
Re: Financial topics
I think it is best to be out by the end of this coming Monday. Next Tuesday is a CPI report. There is a real risk that it pops the bubble.Cool Breeze wrote: Tue Sep 07, 2021 4:20 pm Now, the question is, when do I get out. What's your guess, Vince, regarding the best time to exit equities safely?
A bubble this big does not need much to pop it. After the last 4 reports, another bigger than expected inflation report might just be enough.
At some point people will realize that the Fed's "inflation is transitory" is no more accurate than their "subprime is contained" was before the
last crash. Once people realize that, the crash will come. With inflation like the 1970s we would get P/E ratios like the 1970s, which was more like 5 than the 37 we have now. So a long way down to go.

Re: Financial topics
For BTC a 16% drop and recovery to "only" a 10% drop is nothing exciting. Not saying to sell. Just seemed newsworthy enough for a short post.

Re: Financial topics
BTC was a range trade. A trend for a volatile concept called math bouncing off a Fibonacci.
Bravo to those who even begin to see what the march sweeps seen.

Re: Financial topics
... According to the report, real estate investors continue to buy up mobile home parks across the US. They then raise lot rents and fees, and evict residents who can’t pay.
As the report explains, the government makes this scheme possible with easy financing through agencies such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Here’s how it works in a nutshell.
A company raises rates and fees in a park. That makes the park more valuable. So they can now borrow more money against it, kind of like when you refi your house and get cash out of the deal. They pull out, say, $3 million, and they use that to go buy another mobile home park. And then they do that again and again. It’s a cascade of borrowed money. And often, these loans are backed by the US government. They provide very, very low-cost debt for these investors to get enough cash out to go buy additional parks. The loans have super cheap interest rates because they’re guaranteed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-backed entities at the heart of the US mortgage market.”
NPR gets part of the story right. In fact, it’s pretty impressive that they didn’t just pin the blame on “greedy capitalists.”
Nevertheless, the story completely misses the biggest player in this game – the Federal Reserve.
Nominally progressive retards.

Re: Financial topics
BTC is what will replace the dollar. This I don't sell.
I have done gold.ai for many years and bitcoin.ai for at least 5. It is far easier to deal with Bitcoin. I have a robot that helps customers with Bitcoin (a Bitcoin ATM). There is no fear at all of getting "fake Bitcoin". It takes time and several tests by a human to verify if the gold is real. The other big fear is that the USD we get might not be real. Pain in the ass that USD part. Bitcoin is the future. Really.

The Fed inflation nowcast numbers for Sept have moved up a bit:

Still think this coming Tuesday's CPI will be higher than people are expecting.

Dum Spiro Spero.
Charles I of England was the monarch over the three kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland from 1625 until his execution in 1649.
During his final imprisonment, he wrote "Dum spiro Spero" on a copy of The Faerie Queene which was one of the books Charles I read before he died.
