Yet more BS from the CCP.

Methinks Timmy is a troll..! :) The CCP trolls are on overdrive.

..at the very least, Timmy, could you point out the weak points of the articles you post?
Of course there are flaws.... its just a theory.

Is anyone else as pissed off as I am at Juan Williams today?

I realize he's supposed to act as the "foil" to the others on The Five, but his obvious politicization of the pandemic, while claiming to be non-political with his commentary, is just amazing and disgusting.

Being shocked at shockingly bad behavior should be a thing of the past for me, but DAMN...!

..once again, TDS is a SERIOUS problem, and an effective way to "treat" it would be a very good thing.

No,.. violence is not the answer. Something ridiculously clever is the answer. I just don't know what that clever thing is,.. yet. I shall think on it... :)

You'll have to watch a replay of today's The Five (20200319) for what happened, which wasn't VIOLENTLY dramatic, but the tension between Juan and EVERYBODY else was right on the edge of explosion.

(( https://video.foxnews.com/v/61429510990 ... show-clips ))
(( ..go to 8:20 ))

But the point is that he complains and complains about the politicization used by "the other side" to "harm normalcy", and then blatantly politicizes the current "plague" with not-fast-enough-isms and charges of racism and incompetence of "you know who" and his supporters.

Nothing really new,.. but really frustrating. You'd think I be completely used to it, but,... grrrrrr..!!

Yes, you do seem very much on edge recently. Is everything OK?

I think shutting down the economy to keep drug addicts and elderly people alive who will all be dead within five years anyway is stupid. I'm an older person (70) and I am willing to take my chances if it means my grandchildren won't have to live in abject poverty for the rest of their lives.

I think that in general terms you are quite right. We are doing an inordinate amount of damage to our economies in order to save a very small percentage of the population.

This gets at what has already been going on in health care. Spending a half million dollars to postpone someone dying for six months is NOT economically feasible (though we are doing it routinely), and why western health care was already "on the ropes".

We cannot cover the cost of intensive care needed for say 5% of the population. That would be about 15 million people in the US in ICU for a couple of weeks.

Panic is causing drastic measures that we just cannot afford.

You are SO NICE...!!

..are YOU ok...? <chuckle!> :)

My big problem these days is that my Track Hat (Track IR knockoff) is being a bit temperamental, causing difficulties with my situational awareness within DCS and IL-2 Sturmovik, which means it's HARD to hit my damned targets!

(( Iʻm also working on my ArmA3 ground skills, but I'm a shit shot at this point. ))

Other than that, we're kinda homebodies anyway, so being "locked down" (CA SF Bay Area) isn't particularly difficult. Hoorah for Safeway and Walmart (and Amazon) delivery!!

I do kinda think of myself as a "canary in the coalmine" as it pertains to "general societal anxiety levels", which I've always had to "battle internally" so as to avoid "overwhelm", but that's given me the "habit" of NOT going along with the crowd, as it were, which makes me "not a joiner".

Where I see "stupid mob behavior" I try to swat it,.. which makes me SO popular with the panicky crowd. "Supremacists/Racists", "Collective Punishment Enthusiasts", and fnerkin' trolls inciting panic are some of my favorite swatees.

And people that do those sorts of things not out of "ignorance" but rather for political gain, REALLY piss me off!

..but I can always go back to shootin' down and bombing REDFOR when things get too tense. :)

Nā mahalo, JaX...!! Aloha nui, dude! <shaka shaka shaka...!>

What has GD Theory taught us?

The BIG things that society does (societies do) are INEVITABLE,.. and will and must happen.

Rationalizing why these big movements SHOULDN'T happen is meaningless, especially AFTER they've happened and/or they're underway.

Not that the natural reaction to complain about apparently stupid behaviors isn't ALSO natural and inevitable, but you don't actually DEAL with a tsunami by shouting at it. :)

The only way to surf a tsunami is to get WAY out to sea. No surf, go climb mountain, yeah?

(( You can interpret that wacky metaphor any way you wish, of course! <chuckle!> ))
