Today, VP Harris claimed that she played a role in increasing Border Patrol Agent overtime pay.
This couldn't be further from the truth. As with all things border related she was no where to be found when we needed her.

Winds were mild. Lot of rain. We are getting power back. It was just another hurricane. Taylor County is East of us. They did get the worst.
And yeah, Cedar Key had high waters.
The Governor is probably the best we have had. But he is overstating the damage.
Insurance claims will be high because building costs have gone up a good bit.
I’m 20 years older than the Governor and have seen many more hurricanes than he has.
Also a lot more people live in Florida. That is another driver of higher total insurance claims.

Buncombe County (Ashville) info video that was live this morning on FB. They are out of water. Two helicopter drops of water were done yesterday. You go that right TWO for a city of 100k people, and however many in the rest of the county. Water is being trucked in but will not get there until tomorrow. The water was supposed to get there today, but the trucks are apparently having a problem at some area mountain. They have no idea where the water distribution centers will be because the state/FEMA hasn't told them. There is some water in a warehouse, but it is on the other side of the river, and the local officials are too dumb or too lazy to figure out how to access it.
There are 10 confirmed deaths in Buncombe County so far, but there are many areas they have not accessed. They do not know if the official state death toll of 10 people includes the Buncombe County deaths. There are currently 1000 people reported missing (but that number is expected to fall when more cell service becomes available)
