** 31-Jan-2021 World View: Military coup in Myanmar/Burma may provoke riots

The military in Myanmar (Burma) has arrested the country's nominal
leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, in what is currently an ongoing military
coup. Other officials in Suu Kyi's civilian government are expected
to be arrested soon.
In 2010, the army released Suu Kyi from detention. She had been under
detention for 15 of the preceding 21 years. During her time in
detention, she won a Nobel Peace Prize.
She went into politics and became country leader under the condition
that she "share power" with the army. There have been numerous
disagreements between the two, but apparently there was always one
area of agreement: Aung San Suu Kyi and the army and the Buddhist
monks, led by Ashin Wirathu, committed massive genocide, atrocities
and ethnic cleansing on ethnic Rohingya Muslims. Suu Kyi still
retains her Nobel Peace Prize anyway.
In parliamentary elections last year in November, Aung San Suu Kyi's
party had an overwhelming victory, with 80% of the seats in
parliament, and the army's party was clobbered. This made the army
very unhappy, and now they are staging a coup and arresting the
victors.
Myanmar has become an important strategic ally to China in Central
Asia. China has invested heavily in road and port facilities with the
Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), giving China an additional path to the
Indian Ocean.
Because of the overwhelming victory of Aung San Suu Kyi's party in the
November elections, it's expected that the army coup will result in
demonstrations and riots.
The Biden Administration has reacted by issuing a statement saying
that the coup was unacceptable, and demanding that Aung San Suu Kyi be
released.

Analysts say Beijing is testing Biden. Yes, but so far the Chinese do not need to lift a finger. The new president is giving them what they want, and they are not even having to ask.

Lol! Those snowflakes couldn't find China on a map. And this week
they're about to learn how to lose your life savings in a stock
bubble. They would be better off if they learned to respect their
elders.
Ha ha... your forgot to say, "Get off my lawn!..." 'Life savings'? Just how much is that for a Zoomer? Nothing! They used their free stimulus money from money-printer-go-brrrr. And moar free money is coming soon, so they ain't worried.
The Zoomer Madd Ladds are trolling Wall Street today, telling them to "suck my nuts", while panicked Boomer authorities are trying to further rig the system in favor of fat cats.

If you're serious about GME dropping back down to $12, then go ahead and short all you can. It'll cost you $0.22 per day per share though, so hope you can hang on longer than the autists can remain irrational. Go for it, you'll end up a very rich man. ETrade allowed shorts Fri. Good luck.
God Bless the Zoomer Zerg Army. Poggers and kekw. Let's go...
Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
I wanna see you guys put your money where your mouth is. Short GME shares. It's already at over 120%, so that means a net purchase of shares by all those short sellers. Essentially means it is impossible for it to fall back to its original starting value or even intrinsic value. For the price to fall, all those autistic Zergs have to decide to sell and they promise they're not going to. Why should they? What's going to drive them to sell? They don't care if they lose it all, but maybe they'll sell if the price goes up which it might if your brokerage forces a margin call. And there's all those short sellers who have GUARANTEED they're gonna buy back 120% of existing shares ! Idiots...John wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 9:56 amI think there's a very good chance that Gamestop will crash to its former levels.Tom Mazanec wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 7:54 amJohn, are you saying the market will crash this week? And this week

These youngsters have thrown caution to the wind. Yes, it may work in the short term, alternatively may cause lots of insolvencies, but don't expect thinking and calculating traders to get involved in unpredictable volatile madness. Its blind gambling just like using a dart throwing chimp to make your trading decisions. Whats the real underlying value of GME? I don't know, never have analysed it, and won't look at it for now.Burner Prime wrote: Mon Feb 01, 2021 5:09 amI wanna see you guys put your money where your mouth is. Short GME shares. At this time there is no comparison between today's youth and the Greatest Generation. None whatsoever. Unlike the Greatest Generation, today's youth hasn't been tested by an existential crisis which threatens their entire way of life.Burner Prime wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:26 am GenZ is our 'Greatest Generation'. They are the MemeLords and ShitPosters, they are the Hacker-Known-As-4-Chan, they understand everything. I stand in awe when I see them in action or listen to them speak. I have listened to groups of very young interact and speak and I'm mesmerized by how much they understand and navigate our idiotic woke world created by Boomers, GenX and Millennial imbeciles. They "get it", they grew up in a world of pure technology and have been exposed to everything visible in the world, all knowledge from all space and time. Much more knowledge and wisdom from the ancients was available to them from Day One, than we ever knew. They have read, discussed, pondered and made conclusions on every analysis from every corner, from every speaker. They grew up weaned in a Social Justice, Politically Correct world, and they are experts at navigating it.
From the start of the GameStop shitpile the GenZ ShitLords said, " We can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent." They understand market basics, they understand the risks, but they don't GAF, they have their stimulus checks and dumped it on a few shares for the lulz. They are willing to lose a few hunner-buks for the meme. It is 'weaponized autism' at its finest.
God I love GenZ. They are my hope for the future.
GD theory will hinge on understanding this incredible generation. John you have a lot of catching up to do.
And no, what's going on right now does not amount to such a crisis. Things can and will get much worse over the course of the next five years. And when it does, the people who will receive the brunt of it will be late Gen-X, Millennials, and early Gen-Z. They will be the ones doing the fighting; while the Greatest, the Silent, Boomers, and early Gen-X stay home because they are too old to fight; and late Gen-Z and Gen-A stay home because they are too young to fight.

** 01-Feb-2021 World View: Aftermath of Myanmar / Burma coup
security forces, supported by the Chinese, will crack down violently
against anyone who protests. The Burmese forces were extremely
violent for years against the Rohingyas, and they won't hesitate to be
equally violent against their own people.
The wild card is the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and other northern
ethnic groups along the border with China, who have been spilling over
into China, causing China's military to get involved. If they get
involved, there could be a full-scale civil war.
Analysts are puzzled by why the army took this step right now, since
they pretty much control everything anyway, even with Aung San Suu Kyi
as the nominal leader.
Burma's last generational crisis war was the 1948-1958 civil war, with
the Chinese heavily involved. That climaxed in 1958, and so Burma is
ripe for a re-fighting of that war. This is speculation, but maybe
the reason that the army intervened at this time is because they see
signs of new KIA activity, and they want to lock everything down. As
I said, this is speculation, but it's something to watch for.
