[Reality Check]

From a financial perspective.

A discussion about what Obama's wants and desires are is very relevant to what actions the U.S. government will take over the next months and years.

A discussion of how Independent Third Parties ( not controlled or influenced by the power of the United States government ) may act, and how those independent actions may limit what the U.S. government can do is also highly relevant to determining what the U.S. government will do.

But very few Third Parties are outside the power of the U.S. government, even fewer are outside the influence.

[Reality Check]

Obama wants and desires to massively increase U.S. Government taxes to provide more revenues to the U.S. government.

The U.S. government will massively increase U.S. Government taxes and U.S. government revenues.

If Bush's tax cuts are allowed to expire, taxes on the working poor will increase by 50%. These people have no way of avoiding the taxes, so they will pay them.

If Bush's tax cuts are allowed to expire, taxes on the lower middle class and upper middle class will raise more tax revenue than any other source.
These people also have few ways of reducing taxes short of becoming unemployed.

If Bush's tax cuts on the rich are allowed to expire they will raise moderate amounts of new tax revenue, and much less after the rich adjust their finances to avoid the taxes. Obama wants and desires more tax revenue than tax increases only on those over 250,000 a year can provide so these will not be the only tax increases to go into effect.

Obama can negotiate with the Republicans and get additional taxes such as carbon taxes, and if the Republicans agree, Obama can blame all the negative impacts of the taxes on concessions made to the Republicans.

Obama can negotiate with the Republicans and not reach agreement, and blame the Republicans for the negative impacts of the Bush tax cuts expiring automatically for the working poor and the middle class. This raises the tax revenues Obama wants and desires while avoiding Obama being blamed for the negative impact on all Americans.

Through a carbon tax, or through expiration of all the Bush Tax cuts for the working poor and middle class, or through some other form of tax that will hit the poor and the middle class the hardest, the U.S. government will get a massive increase in tax revenue.

It does not matter what the Democrats or Republicans in Congress do, or do not do. The tax increase will come and the Republicans will be blamed for the negative impacts of the tax increase in all cases.

Why will it have to hit the poor and the middle class the hardest ??? Because they are the only people who can not avoid the massive tax increases and Obama wants increased money flowing into the U.S. government from taxes.

Massive tax increases of the scope Obama wants kick the can down the rode, so independent third parties will support them, as will dependent third parties.

Obama wants and desires additional cuts to the Military by at least as much as the sequester will cut over the next ten years.

Defense cuts of more than 500 Billion over ten years are already scheduled even without sequester.

An additional 500 Billion, over an above the first 500 Billion in cuts, was added by the existing federal law implementing sequester automatically at year end.

The U.S. government will cut the Military by 1,000 Billion ( 1 Trillion Dollars ) over the next ten years.

Obama will attempt to negotiate with Congress to form a Bipartisan majority to support one Trillion in cuts that affect the states and congressional district of the members in the Bi-Partisan majority the least. In other words a majority to shift the One Trillion Dollars in cuts into the states and congressional districts of Senators and Representatives who do not support the cuts.

Republicans can not prevent the One Trillion in cuts to the Defense Department. If they refuse to reach a deal the cuts go into effect automatically as part of the sequester.

The U.S. government will cut the Military by 1,000 Billion ( 1 Trillion Dollars ) over the next ten years.

[Reality Check]

Obama wants and desires the over 500 Billion dollars of projected reductions in the U.S. Government's projected growth of U.S. Government domestic spending over the next 10 years to be canceled. These are the cuts Obama negotiated, agreed to. and took credit for as part of his previous deficit reduction efforts. Obama singed this agreement into law as part of the sequester law.

U.S. Government Domestic spending over the next 10 years will be restored, and maintained, at the previously projected. pre-Budget Agreement, growth levels for the next 10 years.

These reductions in the projected rate of growth of U.S. Government Domestic spending were agreed to as part of the bi-partisan Budget Agreement that allowed the Debt Ceiling to be lifted. The specific reductions in future growth in spending were never identified and instead the sequester law requiring unspecified reductions in spending was passed by the Senate, the House and signed by the President.

Obama will attempt to re-negotiate the Budget Agreement after the fact using cuts in the Military and a massive increase in taxes to re-achieve the same level of ten year reductions in the rate of Debt Growth, that the President, and the Congress, claimed to have already achieved before the election as part of the Budget Agreement.

The Republicans will be forced to either agree with Obama or do one, or more, of the following: "attempt to shut down the government"; refuse to raise the debt ceiling; refuse to pass a budget that does not include the previously agreed cuts, or allow the sequester to go into effect.

Even if the Republicans commit political suicide by taking one or more of the above steps, the President would use "emergency executive orders" to continue to spend, continue to collect taxes, continue to borrow, and continue to keep the government running for the "good of the nation". The President could simply keep the country running on an emergency basis until the next election, or until the Republicans came to their senses and did what Obama wanted.

The debt isn't going to grow the economy - the funds will be disbursed to various parasites high and low. The debt is being used to keep businesses in operation that could not possibly make a profit on a standalone basis. It's being used to destroy small businesses that can normally make a profit on a standalone basis, but not in this parasitic environment. It's being used to turn basic needs like education and health care and banking into major "industries" that gouge savings from the productive. It's going into the balance sheets of high tech companies like Apple and Google who know how to skim money from a debt bubble and are being conditioned to operate in that environment but not coincidentally they cannot see any productive means to deploy that capital in that same environment.

The US is festering under lack of leadership and becoming more divided. The prospect of a divided country and a government that is unable to subsidize the big defense contractors and other corporations that feed at the public trough is daunting. The prospect of a divided country and a government that is unable to subsidize the 46 million and growing food stamp recipients is equally daunting. In the long run it will be impossible to do both and many have to realize it with many more coming to that realization soon.

a, your comment spurred me to do some digging. I gave credit to the female vote earlier. Not so simple.

There have been several headlines about how women, young voters, and even Catholics led the way for Obama. However, it wasn't the youth, female or any aspect of the religious vote that we should credit; it was the African American and Latino vote.

When the data are broken down by gender and race the results show that only minority women voted in the majority for Obama, white women mostly voted for Romney.

All white voters regardless of age --18-29, 30-44, 45-64, and 65 and older -- voted a majority for Romney. All other racial ethnic groups, regardless of age, voted unanimously for Obama.
