Obama will "concentrate" on "reducing the deficit" in the same way Obama has been concentrating on reducing the unemployment rate for the last four years, and in the same way Obama will continue, to "concentrate" on "reducing unemployment".

A smaller percentage of the U.S. population works today, than when Obama took office, but Obama takes credit for "reducing unemployment" ( by claiming that some of the people without jobs are not really unemployed, because they do not really want jobs anyway ).

Obama will talk about wanting to reduce the deficit as the justification for doing what Obama wants to do. Raise tax rates, it is to reduce the deficit. Cut Social Security and Cut defense spending, it is to reduce the deficit. Changing the insurance rules so that insurance companies ( and Medicare ) pay to keep older people comfortable while they die, rather than having insurance companies ( and Medicare ) pay to cure older people when they are sick. That too will be to reduce the deficit. The U.S. Government will increase deficit government spending to "Invest" in human capital ( food stamps, medicaid, more money for Teachers Unions ), all these increases in deficit spending will be, according to Obama, investments to grow the economy at some future date, long after the end of Obama's second term.

Obama will increase U.S. government spending, increase the debt as a percentage of GDP, and at the same time claim to have "reduced the deficit", because it could have been even worse. None of this will surprise anyone.

What would truly shock and surprise everyone is if the U.S. economy grew at the same rate, and the number of jobs grew at the same rate, as they grew in the second term of Ronald Reagan.

Now that would be a surprise.

I was having that view again from a chart that will digress from to many peoples reality.

Many Independants seen that the Doctor made some sense than a few demographics would entertain. Many considered the time spent on foreign soil was
uncalled and unhinged. Tit for Tat is not sound policy given the actual intell of them then us in the region. A few already know this and many could care

commented. I think he was a good guy who was a democrat and followed pricipals he knew very well since he understood how business functioned.

Inept? He was probably the best foreign policy president we've had in the last 60 years. Sure, he went against what the left wanted, but that's why the USA came out on top. The current admin is nearly as bad as Carter (will eventually prove to be worse... Carter was stopped before he could do any more damage).

Seriously, point out an example of Regean's "inept foreign policy" that "stunned" the State Department. Hell, it's not like the State Department has proven to be all that adroit in the last few decades.

Nothing knew there so who benefited. Iran-Contra disaster offered important lessons for how policy is made today
but Holder forgot it appears. Beruit was a low point for me. Under Frank Carlucci and his successor as national security adviser
Colin Powell and the NSC staff was reconstituted and its role clarified. I will convey he knew better but any one knows who

As if no one knew this was not a agency issue? Sad state of affairs. Ok, move along, I am glad my nephew is out of theator
and others retired. They would of dealt with this earlier if security was compromised anyway.
On a serious note would it be ok to figure that the Secret Service dismissals would of been enough
to lets say ring the bell. Also we think they are to hard on Secratary Rice for the press conference
when intell is always filtered for the public good they say. No do not answer that we already know...

Even as a Democrat I liked the guy as a person and was puzzled as a Republican. Later I came
to understand in essence he was ambushed on spending issues. When we came to understand
the scope of the arms issues that was my it figures moment anyways.

We noted the process to date and the flows. No fulcrum to balance but did talk to detroit
