Since 2006 the United States Federal Reserve has added roughly equal amounts of
U.S. Government Debt Instruments
and Government-Sponsered Enterprise (GSE)/Agency Mortgage Backed Security (MBS) Debt Instruments
to the FED Balance sheet as Assets
The following is the GSE/Agency MBS half of that 1.8 Trillion ( 900 Billion in MBS debt ):
