Wait, I thought that in an awakening era, countries and groups were much more reluctant to fight and would do whatever they could to end or at least minimize the violence. Now you're saying that the awakening era is the reason the violence may not end? An explanation would be appreciated.

The complete pattern is that low-level violence begins in the
Awakening era, and periods of low-level violence alternate with
periods of non-violence, usually after a "peace treaty." Each violent
period is more violent than the last one, until the Crisis era begins,
and the Regeneracy occurs, after which a full scale crisis war begins,
and ends with an explosive genocidal climax.

So when a crisis war climaxes, you can count on the violence ending
for a couple of decades. But there's no war climax in an Awakening
era, and periods of low-level violence continue.

Can a pandemic like Ebola affect/alter Generational Dynamic Theory? The isolation of several African countries could lead to food riots, civil uprisings, the collapse of weak governments, and border clashes. Could that speed things up?
