What positive words can be truthfully stated about islam? And please do not insert the term "radical" in any discussion. False teachers often take Biblical quotes out of context and add proof-texting to the abomination. No need to so wrestle with the quran. The cult's aims are plainly stated.
My Jewish grandparents fled pre Holocaust Eurasia. To be or not to be a martyr. Islam's intent is clear.

Personally a fan of some of their art. Their architecture is really cool and mathematical due to not having depictions of people. Also their calligraphy is pretty neat.

It is cool, but it's not originally "islamic".
The architecture was acquired from pre-islamic surrounding cultures. The "mathematical-ness" was from the Greeks (and Hindus). Arabic script is pre-Mohamad.
Whether their iconoclasm is "commendable" is dubious (or even technically accurate considering some of the cultures within Islam that seem to violate that rule).
