Thank you, John, for explaining the difference between ISIS and the Taliban. Perhaps a bit like RINOS and conservatives, the nuances being in motivation. In practice my black ops son did not find assignments particularly based on cultish beliefs.
We are seeing radical politics acted out here. Indoctrinated fanatics seem to lose powers of reason and civilized behaviors. No heros in Afghanistan, Pakistan or America's radical left.
To date we are barely holding the high ground of being more civilized than others.
