Interesting response, you're just furthering your maga strawman creation. In any event, not worth the energy to respond further to any of your posts. Quick story about a progressive acquaintance first:
I'm still waiting on someone posting another version of what MAGA is. I'm certainly not the person to describe if favorably, but I suspect it cannot be done.

Has anyone heard from John? He hasn't posted for almost 2 months.

I PM'd him a few days ago for same reason, but haven't heard back. Maybe Higgie knows more.
I encourage those who believe in such things to pray for John, we owe him a lot.
I haven't heard from John or tried to contact him. But he has been logging in almost daily and he's also been moderating the forum. His last login was just an hour or so ago (anyone can see this by clicking on his handle) and his last moderating activity was Friday.

One good source nowadays is WalMart or any chain having problems with organized retail crime, which is pretty much all of them. For the most part, they are shuttering stores in blue states where crime is out of control and opening new stores in red states.
I did a Google search on 'blue state population decrease' and can confirm that the dozens of articles exist. If curious, repeat the search.
Under siege: Retailers flee cities as unarmed security, public authorities fail to curb thefts

By Sean Salai - The Washington Times - Wednesday, February 7, 2024

Businesses have cited the rise of online shopping and declining in-store profits for pulling out of urban centers from San Francisco to New York, but insiders see a deeper problem: Unarmed security staff’s inability to keep employees and merchandise safe is driving away workers and shoppers in big cities with soft-on-crime policies.

• Last week, armed thieves stabbed a loss prevention officer who attempted to stop them from looting a Safeway supermarket in Kensington, Maryland, just outside the District of Columbia.
• In December, a thief fatally stabbed a Macy’s security guard in Philadelphia.
• In April, a Home Depot security guard in Pleasanton, California, was gunned down after he caught a woman stealing.

Walmart and Target each eclipsed $500 million in retail theft losses last year, so the retail giants’ store closures in cities “where theft has gotten out of control” are no surprise, said Kristin Moss, chief ambassador for DealAid.org, which offers online discounts for more than 10,000 U.S. retailers.

Last year, Target closed nine stores in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon, over safety concerns. Ms. Moss pointed to data showing a concentration of Walmart stores with the highest retail losses in cities with the lowest prosecution rates for shoplifting.

“This is a trend common among retailers and small businesses that are forced to leave such areas,” she told The Washington Times.

All of the Target closures were in blue state crime ridden hellholes, same as WalMart's closures.

Is it fair to say that one person plus msnbc and the mainstream media form your opinion of Trump supporters? That would explain things.
I guess the short answer likely to find its way into future history books is that MAGA was an alliance of convenience between religious fanatics, bigots and elites, each with an ability to ignore the other's flaws. The religious fanatics lost the woman's vote, thus the ability to win elections. The bigots lost their habit of large scale violent protest after January 6. The elites noticed the opposition's favorable economic indicators. Crisis end. We'll see.

The trash guy at previous company I worked in (wealthy African American franchise owner, didn't have to work but enjoyed it)...progressive and after 2016 election, told me he hopes my kids get sent to the front line of world war iii that Trump is going to start. I always enjoyed talking to him, even about politics, up to that point. He showed who he really is there. Also I know a female democrat who alluded to Trump supporters in a text to me as roaches. Lovely.

One last thing...congrats dunking on your once a week cleaner. You sound pretty proud to have crushed her. Sounds misogynistic to me.

Toronto and Vancouver have both made a list of the top 10 "impossibly unaffordable" cities. The cost of housing is the number one factor.

The massive increase in price coincides with the decrease in the actual quality of life in these cities. Vancouver is becoming known for drug addicts lying in the street while Toronto is becoming known for car theft.

The ridiculously high cost of living in these cities isn't due to their quality as places to live increasing. It's due to the enormous increase in demand for housing as a result of mass immigration. This is probably true for most of the other cities on this list too.

Not only is Canada becoming a third world country, it's becoming an extremely expensive third world country.

How many people have you actually met or do you personally know that fit your description of MAGA?
Absurdly few. I retired before the MAGA movement. In a tourist area of a blue state, no one much talks politics from a red perspective. My current once a week cleaner is a Trump fan, but I kind of crushed her when she tried to defend it. I imagine there are others, but few seem eager to argue politics in real life.

Do you bump into and hold discussions with progressives?

I actually do talk to progressives quite a bit. My sisters for starters. Several women I’ve dated in the past few years. Friends and coworkers. A good friend who despises Trump. I live in a blue-ish metro area in a red state and my county of half a million votes about 50/50 each way. For most of the progressives I know, their views aren’t quite as extreme as yours and most of the time if we talk politics it’s only briefly because people are so entrenched with their viewpoints no one is going to change their minds. No point in it ruining relationships over that.

And I still get along with them just fine, almost all of them are good people who mean well but form their opinions from far left biased news sources. I realize there are plenty of right wing biased news sources as well, all news should be viewed with skepticism. Many are compassionate people but extremely gullible. Mostly that’s the women which is what makes up most of the progressive base. The progressive men I know are wealthy - lawyers, investment bankers, medical specialists, etc. they vote blue because they know the democrats look out for them and their industries.

A lot of people in general in my area are now seeing how democrat policy is playing out in real life (general inflation, housing inflation, worsening public education, reduced services for the poor, homelessness, endless war) and changing their minds without debating anyone. They’re being affected in real life. Many still don’t make the connection though and will continue to vote blue. As for my sister, I suspect if the democrats in charge ramp up the Ukraine war to the point of drafting her military age son and daughter, she might reconsider her vote. She’s a one per center though so life is good for her under Biden.

She realized its was pointless to even try debating with you. 'Ceushed her?' More like shouted her down with viens popping out of your forehead..
Why do you say that? This forum contains a bunch of intense conservatives and no one has corrected my interpretation of MAGA or offered a differing one. Instead the response has been to make up lies, or in the case of Tom Mazanec to confirm an attempt to spread a European religious belief they are attempting to enforce by the power of government.

A Crime Against Humanity So Horrifying That I Don’t Even Have The Words To Describe It
June 13, 2024
https://themostimportantnews.com/archiv ... escribe-it
When we read about ancient societies that worshipped their gods by conducting child sacrifices, many of us recoil in horror. But the truth is that far more children are being murdered in our time, and the vast majority of the population is perfectly okay with that. In ancient times, in most cases it wasn’t children that were wanted that were brought to the child sacrifices. Instead, in most cases such ceremonies were a perfect opportunity to get rid of children that were not wanted. Today, unwanted children are discarded behind closed doors at an abortion clinic. This is being done on an industrial scale, but since we never have to see it happening most of us are able to ignore the slaughter most of the time. Of course that doesn’t make our society any less guilty than the ancient societies that performed child sacrifices publicly.

Here in the United States, more than 60 million abortions have been performed since 1973.
