John should love this as it is the next step in US RUS relations. Just waiting for sanctions to be lifted which I would think comes next.
But though the administration has long said that President Bashar al-Assad must go for there to be a durable solution to the Syria crisis, Mr. Kerry seemed on Friday to allow for the possibility that Mr. Assad might remain in power in the short term. Mr. Assad has had Russia’s backing throughout the conflict.

How about national bankruptcy followed by genocidal warfare and the complete breakdown of western socities. Thus, the West becomes as horrific as the the third world. The West has lost its guts to political correctness. Few take action. Those that do are labelled Nazis. Let's hope the Eastern Europeans stay solid.
The next step in your scenario is a Napoleon or a Hitler that raise the people to action and give them a purpose. People like and need a purpose to give meaning to live. I have talked to former service men who experienced WWII some considered it the high light of there life, Vietnam veterans not so.

Political Correctness is the dogma of the few to control the many, a public thought control.( an antagonism to political correctness has existed for years if not decades ) Notice how Trump attacks political correctness and gets resounding cheers. Things can "quietly" bubble under the surface for a long time, then all hell breaks loose.

Czech Politician Has "Solution" For Refugee Crisis - Concentration Camps

Reacting to the establishment of a refugee camp near the country’s border with Slovakia, Bartos wrote, “Why build tent camps for the aliens? We have the beautiful fortress town of Terezin where the aliens could concentrate before they are taken home by trains.”

Publicizing the camp for its rich cultural life, the Nazis used the camp as a propaganda tool to fool the Western allies.

Czech Jewish leaders have refused to comment on the incident.

A senior German official says people are leaving the region around Syria at a "breathtaking" rate, but is indicating it isn't clear whether the influx to Germany will reach 40,000 over the next two days.

It's over.

As Monty Python would say and something completely different: http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2015/09/1 ... en-Dhahran It looks like the Saudis can buy cool toys, but to operate an effective military, they will have to do some more training. Or they could be following in our footsteps and troops are killed because of crap leaders and they will be replaced.
