It's a great honor if people think I am the hacker, I wish I have the know-how. The timing can't be perfect.
Regarding the pyramid, no, I am not aware of it. I only learned those luxury imperial tombs. It's possible that Pyramid was not the main trend in Chinese history.
Recently I read one news from a mainstream media reporting the hacking of US company website. This is how they reported this which is very typical now a day: first the event is described, secondly, they draw the conclusion that those attacks might be from China or North Korea, then at the end of the story, they were saying like they needed more evidence to prove this. I was very angry. If you need more evidence, why would you hint the reader that the Chinese was the attacker? people are kidnapped by media. I don't know much about the computer, I don't even work in tech sector, but I do know hacker can hack the computer in one country and attack another computer in another country. I am not saying it's not chinese, but in this era, lack of responsibility is quite common.
Yesterday, I was on the D line, a young guy A got on the train holding a cup of coffee. The train started and all of sudden he bumped another man B and the coffee cup accidentally fell on another old man C who was sitting nearby. B apologized to c a few times although it was not really his fault and his bags and clothes were full of creamed coffee too. The old man said a few times that it's ok, accident happens. He then found the empty cup and tried to hand it to man A. This make sense because the cup belongs to A and this is a public train and everybody has to pay its share. Man A refuse to take the cup and saying like "don't be an asshole, I am not gonna pickup a cup that's empty. Certainly old man C was not happy and started to exchange words. It didn't last a few minutes until a lady in her 50's found a plastic bag and put the cup and cap into it. From the beginning to the end, I never heard the young guy A said sorry. So what do I learn from this story: 1) responsiblity, you take in the cup, you need to take care of it regardless of it's status; 2) manner, be careful of the words you choose, people react to these words. The old man has a great manner, he was the guy in worst shape, nevertheless, he said accident happens. He also picked up the cup and tried to handed to the young man before thoroughly cleaning his clothes. Man B was also doing right by apologizing to C. the young man A who was the owner of the coffee cup not only didn't apologize, he also criticize C. The old lady was helping too. (my bad I didn't do anything but watching, but I am ready to support man C if he needed. anyway my bad).

The web site was attacked by hackers a couple of weeks ago. I've been
bringing pieces of it back, one piece at a time. I'll try to get to
the Country Studies piece as soon as possible. There's evidence from
IP addresses that the hackers were from China. If true, then I don't
know whether to feel honored or scared to death.
OK, Trevor, the Country Studies are back. While I was at it, I fixed
the links to the maps and flags which actually have been broken for
quite a while. I actually haven't looked at the Country Studies stuff
for quite a while, but really it's quite useful because of all the
links.
