How is this for twisted --

"A tragic mistake" --- can't call a spade a spade

"Howard, accused of torching the FAA radar center basement, described himself as “stoned and nervous” on Facebook minutes before authorities said he started the fire.
The damage shut down all the radar and communications systems and crippled air traffic for days in an out of O’Hare and Midway airports.
The former contract field technician has been charged with destruction of aircraft facilities.
“He made a tragic mistake,” Howard’s attorney, Ronald Safer, said on Monday after his client was ordered held without bond. “Only someone who’s deeply troubled would do that.”

I will task the wife for the log three effect. Leave in three hours notice, avoid all contact for three days, plan for three weeks but have provisions for three months.
If you have to ask why you already won the darwin award.

Predictably, this one case diagnosed here in the U.S. has resulted in a media feeding frenzy, rumination, recrimination, and the familiar blend of hyberbole and hysteria that tends to populate those infamous 15 minutes during which any given crisis holds our attention.

Director, Yale Prevention Research Center

I think he has to much raw optimism to date. We seen the reports where they simply drag them away from the side of the roads.
Over here they just hire a unprotected disposable drone.

CHICAGO, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Nurses, the frontline care providers in U.S. hospitals, say they are untrained and unprepared to handle patients arriving in their hospital emergency departments infected with Ebola.

Many say they have gone to hospital managers, seeking training on how to best care for patients and protect themselves and their families from contracting the deadly disease, which has so far killed at least 3,338 people in the deadliest outbreak on record.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has repeatedly said that U.S. hospitals are prepared to handle such patients. Many infectious disease experts agree with that assessment.

I got two on the front lines in health care. They are the experts on what truly matters.....

The demand curve changes as we simply walk into the third world. It was no accident.

Cluster management red zones grow.

Staggering disconnects will multiply.

And it should be clear to all of us: This isn't just an epidemic any more. This is a humanitarian catastrophe. We don't just need care personnel, but also logistics experts, trucks, jeeps and foodstuffs. Such an epidemic can destabilise entire regions. I can only hope that we will be able to get it under control. I really never thought that it could get this bad.
