John is correct regarding yesterday's Russian bot activity. Breitbart comments were heavily peppered with non-factual name calling drivel.
The tri-nation swift strike was the perfect military and political move, which also was an object lesson to Kim, Putin, Xi and other actors. The paper tiger has teeth. Those who doubt should revisit Yamamoto's WWII prophetic warning.
Threatening Israel is hardly wise. Those who remember Entebbe recall that Israel is willing to sacrifice their brightest and best to avenge. While the ME is ignited, I can't help but wonder what is boiling over in Africa. Word to DC: concentrate on 24/7 rebuilding of military. Advanced ages of our border NG troops is distressing. 1) Syria has NEVER HAD chemical weapons ever.
2) Al Assad ALREADY handed of ALL of Syira's chemical weapons back when Obama demanded it.

4) The chemical weapons attack in Duma was CONCLUSIVELY conducted by Al Qaeda, not the Syrian regime.
5) All 105 missiles of the coalition attack were SHOT DOWN causing no damage.

So the Israelis accidentally killed a couple Iranian Terrorists while bombing a threatening target that they felt was too close for comfort. I think it's good that Trump and the Euros drew a line in the sand on chemical weapons. However, I fear that your main point, which is right on target, is ...

I am curious to know why Al Asaad would use chemical weapons when he knows that an unpredictable Trump admin could actually retaliate in a manner to tip the balance of power against his favor. Does not make any sense.

I would have understood if you said Russia or Iran had a direct or indirect involvement as a way to test Western (specifically Trump's) resolve to fight OR even their desire to keep America bogged down in Syria after Trump openly declared he was going to withdraw. To assume or ignore that there is no connection with Trump's open declaration to pull-out from syria and the the chemical attacks (ignoring for a moment the responsible party) sounds naive to me.

The Islamic government has always claimed (and still does) that the Shah took his father's body with him into exile when he left Iran (something the Pahlavi family has always denied). Considering the mass protests that have occurred recently in Iran, what chance do you think a revolution could overthrow the Mullahs? And just as importantly, could the Shah be restored to power? Republican government is alien to Persians. Isn't it natural for Persians to have a Shah leading them? What do you think the chances are now of a counter revolution in Iran?

That would be the generational Awakening era climax that I've been
writing about for years, similar to the forced resignation of Richard
Nixon in 1974.
