The Wagner Group is a Private military Company (PMC). PMCS are illegal in Russia. Wagner is an extension of the Russian military. Many of the 'mercenaries' in its ranks are active duty Russian regulars. The owner of the Wagner group is nothing but a figure head. The Russian MOD controls it. Period. The Wagner Group is just another Russian lie. The alleged investor who started the group was convicted of pimping underage girls and a strong of robberies during the Soviet Era. Russia is a mafia with a country.

Russia is run by competent people who fight to advance RUSSIAN interests. Its not like here in America were selfish boomers only take the US to war if the we are clearly and unambiguously the "good guys" and the enemy is clearly the "bad guys" and unambiguously in the wrong. American leaders should strive for US supremacy, the unencumbered advance of AMERICAN interests wherever possible.

I used to live in Russia; both before and after Putin. Putin is an incompetent and corrupt ruler who puts his own selfish interests first and the Russian people's last. Putin is the richest man in the world, with an estimated wealth (in 2014) of over 200 billion US Dollars. Putin is a common thief. Meanwhile, the Russian people have the life expectancy of black Africans.

Was it for the good of society that Putin blew up apartment blocks back in 1999, killing hundreds of impoverished pensioners, and blaming the Chechens for it? (And using it as an excuse to launch an invasion of Chechnya?)

Is it in the interest of the Russian people to rob them blind?Is it in the best interests of Russians to slash pensions and medical services while looting the system with his oligarch friends? Is it in the common interest to murder dozens of Russian journalists opposed to the Putin regime? Is it in the common interest to torture whistle blowers to death? Is it in the common interest to murder opposition politicians?

Are you a paid Russian troll? If you are, shame on you. If you are an American, and you really feel this way, you are an idiot.

The Situation in Russia is well known to have been much worse under Yeltsin. Putin Caused the Russian economy to regain solvency and then developed Russia's petroleum industry and financial industry giving that country an economic base for 21st century Russia.

Putin got lucky with an oil boom. Economic growth rates and rising income exactly matched the rise in the price of oil. Putin has gutted the Russian economy by failing to revitalize heavy industry and totally destroyed Rule of Law. Money that should have been spent on modernizing the economy and revitalizing medical services and education have been stolen. Rich Russians send their children to school in America and the UK. Rich Russians get medical care in America. Russi is great for oligarchs and gangsters. How has Putin created a foundation for the future of Russia? Putin has destroyed Russia.
