So, John, how much longer do you figure you've got? A month? Two months? Two weeks?

** 27-Mar-2019 Time frame
a Senior Software Engineer or as a journalist / analyst, and since I'm
treated contemptuously by almost everyone I ask, I'm going to run out
of money in the June-September time frame, and barring some unexpected
event (unexpected expense or unexpected income), I will be unable to
pay the rent or buy groceries. So that's the time frame.
This is a good time to repeat that the GenerationalDynamics.com and
gdxforum.com web sites will probably disappear unless someone is
willing to take responsibility for them. It requires some technical
expertise, and costs around $50+ per month for the web hosting and the
periodic domain registration. My preference would be that they be
taken over by an organization -- educational, analyst, business or
government, but I'll consider any offer.

Well, I'll continue to post news links I find till then.
And frankly, John, you treat everyone who offers you advice on this forum contemptuously.

Re: 24-Dec-18 World View -- Generational Dynamics analysis of the troop withdrawal from Syria
I'm thinking I SHOULD toss a humorous bit of fluff in here right about now, but Iʻm finding I don't particularly want to.
That annoys me.
Now, I don't mind being annoyed, as it usually motivates me to do SOMETHING.
But that "something" at this point is to simply add those few minutes spent here on my boat.
..checking in here is still interesting, but the "interest" is rapidly becoming seeing how uninteresting the Non-John people around here have become. I really DO like Navigator, though, by the way!
People in here don't actually "converse" with each other. Not that that's particularly unusual on the "interwebz" in any forum, but there is a certain lower threshold after which even MY outrageous silliness and attempts at (contextually driven) "comic relief", and also hugely insightful deep philosophical banter <cough!>, aren't getting enough conversational "fuel" to power up the word making machine.
..so, we'll see.
Aloha gangies! <shaka nui>

When did you offer advice that I treated contemptuously?

Let's face it - it's my fault. I used to joke around more, but now
I'm just a real downer. No one would say, "Oh! John! You're so
funny!!" I'm just an incredible bitch. I admit it.
But just to prove that I can be hilarious:

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... you're not the downer! As you just saw, you reacted PERFECTLY to my little provocation to humor. That is NOT the behavior of a "downer".John wrote:FishbellykanakaDude wrote: > I'm thinking I SHOULD toss a humorous bit of fluff in here right

Anyway, lots of LOLs in there from ya'.
..'though I don't quite get the "oyster" reference.
The rest were maximally hilarious! Truly!
..I did get the "crabs" reference, btw. I'm not THAT out of touch.
So,.. a little assist with the oyster thing would be cool...
EDIT (several hours later): D'Oh...!! "Oyster BED"... of course,.. I feel less stupid now. Phew...!
...it's still the weakest of the bunch, but hey.. somethin's gotta be, doesn't it?

When someone says you could live a lower standard lifestyle or take charity you say you don't wanna. When someone says you could set up Patreon or some other fund raising source you say it's too much trouble. You keep saying you're smarter than anyone else, and always knew they were going to create disasters. Anyone who disagrees with your analysis is a troll or an idiot. With this attitude no wonder you can't get a job.John wrote:Thank you for your continued efforts.Tom Mazanec wrote: > Well, I'll continue to post news links I find till then. And
