So does this mean you believe the Wuhan virus has run its course?
I think all it means is that's all the news he had.

There is a luxury cruise ship docked and loaded with rich passengers in Hong Kong now under a 14 day quarantine. Bad idea. Why? Cruise ships have a central air system. Not a good idea keeping them all round up together.

Yup, recirculating air. All fucked.

Does anyone involved in containing the Wuhan virus even know what they are doing?

I believe that you're referring to the Diamond Princess, which is
quarantined in Yokohama, Japan, for at least two weeks.

Oh wait. There's another cruise ship, the World Dream, quarantined in
Hong Kong.

If they can't keep a prominent doctor dedicated to the disease from dying OF the disease in a "secure laboratory" where he worked WITH the disease...

What are the odds that they will only be able to let the disease "run it's course" in the affected populations?

I'd say the odds are pretty good.

The number of infected continues to grow here. Stores are not empty, but noticeably fewer people now shop in them. Stores are also being closed and disinfected. No panic yet, but growing unease. Everyone is still waiting to see if the numbers grow much larger. I think the death of a patient will be a trigger event here.

I have always been wary of germs and have always washed my hands often. Now I just use stronger soap.

The adult face masks are sold out in some stores. Children's masks are plentiful, but I believe that's only because parents no longer let their children outside.

Could this lead to an economic implosion? If this continues, yes.

It's interesting that no cases have been reported in Eastern Europe, Latin America, or Africa. Why is that? Are government's hiding it or is disease so common no one notices?

The Japanese just confirmed another 41 infected passengers on board that ship. That would bring the current tally up to 101. One can only guess the true number of infected on board that boat in Hong Kong.

The video coming out of Wuhan is horrific. I watched one video of a guy walking down a hallway and looking into rooms piled high with body bags. There must have been hundreds of them. The guy was literally screaming and crying as he walked down the corridors. He was inside one of Wuhan's crematoriums. He was literally screaming. The city workers are being driven mad.

The Chinese have lost control of the situation. This crisis has also shown the Chinese public how incompetent and deceitful the Chinese Communist Party really is. People are noticing. People have also become embolden enough to publicly voice their anger.

What are the real numbers on all of this? How many dead Chinese are rotting inside apartments all over China after being sent home untreated by overwhelmed medical staff? The true figures must be staggering. So much for China taking over the world...

As for mainland China:

"Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

The nCoV2019 basket has a lot more room to run.

Just like that, one cruise ship has more confirmed cases than any country in the world outside China.

What about the Tokyo this summer? Wait until it hits a college dorm with those Chinese students who came back from China's New years Parties with hundreds of people at the table. Esp the locations where they've been riding the subways for a few weeks while carrying the virus in Boston, SF, NYC back and forth to college classes.

Bad time to be living in the Big Crowded City imo.

Ah, no. The total figure is 61.

61 out of 273 people on the cruise ship. So far. BUT, that's over 22%. China's numbers are absolute B.S..

It wouldn't hurt to do a little bit of prepping. Buy a rubber dingy, load it with supplies and a tent, and motor out to a small isolated island. Watch the zombies eat each other from the hilltop.
