In theory, no, but in practice, yes. A strip of out-of-the-money options of all strikes, weighted according to a mathematical formula that puts more weight on lower-strike options, would have roughly the same gamma regardless of time to maturity. (By trading underlying shares every day to adjust for some points becoming in-the-money after market moves, one could replicate the payout of a variance swap.

Charles M. Lieber is the appropriate receptacle for the tip of this spear. Seeing a Harvard Chair doing hard time may adjust some of that above-the-law attitude. The prosecutor lacks the power to bring down the CCP, the job is taking the fun out of treason.
Just replace the John Harvard statue in the yard with one of Chairman Mao. No one will notice except Dartmouth.

Ye, a member of China’s armed forces, falsely identified herself as a student in her visa application, authorities say. Ye continued to work for the People’s Liberation Army while studying at Boston University from 2017 to 2019. Authorities say her work involved researching U.S. military projects and compiling documents for the Chinese government.

Federal Agents arrested Dr. Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, with lying to the Department of Defense about secret monthly payments of $50,000.00 paid by China and receipt of millions more to help set up a chemical/biological “Research” laboratory in China. Also arrested were two Chinese “Students” working as research assistants, one of whom was actually a lieutenant in the Chinese Army, the other captured at Logan Airport as he tried to catch a flight to China – smuggling 21 vials of “Sensitive Biological Samples” according to the FBI.

I smashed the bots Monday and yesterday, then bootstrapped myself into a new short position today. No margin call made.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

The euphoria bubble will wear off as we read the butt hurt reports flowing in.
Short positions will be limited to less than two percent book. India will be bought on pull backs.
Investing on China is intellectual suicide and has been.
We know whats coming on zones to the labeled immunological vascular diseased witnessed.
The Office busted it ass to help our people on the front lines and States had been funded since 2016

We can only wait to see if the left falls back into feces it created and actually is.
Donald J Trump is the President. Those democratic friends he portended just backed the bus over and drove
in granny gear to run him over again. No sane person should vote for the DNC maniacs fuled by the agency's criminal demeanor.
BISH progressive voters are a mental affliction.
The Evangelicals are an embarrassment and shunned from thinking souls.

** 11-Jun-2020 World View: Hot stocks

What are the hot stocks today? Which stocks are surging upward?

Why, of course, the hot stocks, the stocks that everyone wants to
buy, are the ones from bankrupt companies. The values of these
stocks have all been soaring.

The price gains among the insolvent include: Hertz, which climbed 95%
since it filed for bankruptcy protection May 22; J.C. Penney, up 167%
since May 15; Whiting Petroleum, up 835% since April 1; Pier 1 Imports
Inc., which more than doubled in the last two trading sessions, since
filing for bankruptcy Feb. 17.

Isn't finance wonderful?

At Yahoo checking on things and the banner reads:

1.54 Million American workers file for unemployment benefits
Signs emerging that Americans are returning to work

Hum. Seems like American workers are still losing jobs at a really high rate.

Russel is down 6%
Dow down 5%
S&P down 4%
Naz down 3%

Just seems like a countdown...

A couple percent more and I think it crosses some moving averages that people use to decide when to sell...

All the technical analysis says a second crash is overdue; peak was well past 61.8 retracement. Mind you Higg knew a successful trader who wouldn't short at 61.8 because it too often pushed past. I shorted at 61.8 and unlike Higg who recoups by mugging bots I got burned. Made it back today - grateful for the down 5%. Monday may be crash day!!!! Yeah!!

I’m impressed, it usually takes Marxists at least 3-4 months to achieve starvation.
