This is a good article because it's a realistic appraisal of what
Biden is going to face once he comes out of his basement.
Regular readers know that many times I've described what happened when
Barack Obama took office. Obama had made numerouse delusional
promises during the campaign in 2008, but I didn't think much about
them because, after all, politicians always make delusional promises
to get votes, but they abandon those promises once the election is
over. And as I've written many times, I was TRULY astonished after
the election that Obama continued to cling to those delusional
promises instead of moving to the political center. It turns out that
Obama himself actually believed those delusional promises, and when he
couldn't implement them, he blamed Bush and the Republicans, even
though Democrats controlled both branches of Congress.
Then he believed in 2012 that he would finally make good on those
promises in 2013, when he was free from running for reelection. But
2013 was a disaster for him, and in 2014, Obama finally admitted that
he had been a failure delivering on any of his campaign promises. In
an interview, he conceded defeat, and said the following: "I just
wanted to add one thing to that business about the Great Man Theory Of
History. The President of the United States cannot remake our society,
and that’s probably a good thing. Not probably. It’s definitely a
good thing."
Liberals, incidentally, blamed Obama for being too weak to implement
his own policies. From the point of view of Generational Dynamics,
those policies were impossible to implement, no matter what Obama did.
So now it's astonishing to see the same thing happening. Democrats
have this set of delusional policy beliefs about immigration, the
economy, foreign policy, etc. I keep hearing statements like "Trump
was the worst president in the history of the country, and now we'll
go back to normal," with claims that Biden will reverse all of Trump's
immigration, econony and foreign policy decisions within 100 days.
In other words, the same things are happening today as in 2009. This
despite the fact that Biden is (in my opinion) a much less effective
leader than Obama, and knows little about what's going on in the
world.
It's noteworthy that Biden has already been forced to back down from
his immigration policy promises. The reason he was forced to back
down was that as soon as Biden was elected, caravans of Latinos
started moving northward, hoping to reach Mexico's northern border by
January 20, and just cross over into the United States. So Biden has
been forced to do a U-turn. Now he'll just appoint a commission to
make recommendations in six months. It's pretty farcical.
The Hill article details the problems that Biden will have if he tries
to reverse Trump's economic policies, essentially raising taxes on
everyone, with poor people and minorities suffering the worst.
Biden's foreign policy will be compromised by his lack of
understanding what's going on in the world, and by the fact that
evidence continues to grow that he and his son Hunter are embroiled in
a criminal investigation for influence peddling, money laundering and
tax evasion. As the evidence builds, despite the Democrat-controlled
mainstream media attempts to keep it hidden, it may turn out that
Biden is one of the most corrupt presidents history.
A related issue is that Twitter, Facebook and other
Democrat-controlled social media are now facing a major backlash over
censoring the news about the Hunter Biden laptop. This is going to be
a major complication in Biden's foreign policy.
On top of all those political factors are the factors identified by
Generational Dynamics -- the growing worldwide anti-China xenophobia,
and the growing worldwide interlocking debt. Both of these factors
mean that, beneath the surface, the world is extremely unstable,
requiring only one small military clash or one small bankruptcy to
create a chain reaction that leads to global financial crisis and
world war.
As I'm typing this, I'm listening to the BBC promise a
"transformational time in American politics," with Biden taking
office. Hahaha.
