The Chinese will attack soon. Why? Because they think Americans are retarded. I have to agree.

Japan will use nukes, or be nuked?
Japan is an example, IMO, of a country that could be nuked because it has no nuclear capabilities, no country wishes to occupy it (assumption I guess, I just assume China would want it irradiated), and China absolutely hates Japan and wants revenge (per John and others).

China nuking the USA or Russia would result in retaliation. Same with Pakistan and India. But a country like Japan? Why would the USA/Russia/India/France/UK risk retaliation for another country. It would just become a “never again, never forget” moment in my opinion.

I know CCP leadership is crazy, but I also assume they know they’ll have to come out of a bunker eventually or have access to food and water.

China is the enemy as is communism but I can respect how China serves its peoples' interests. China is not obsessed with importing minorities and replacing the Han Chinese with people from the third world like America and the West has been doing.
JCP, this "Guest" is example B of someone criticizing America but also still recognizing the CCP as the enemy.

And he did it without accusing people of being traitors and CCCP shills. And example indeed.

The "CCP shills" that I speak of state their grievances against the US government and then praise the CCP for being a counterbalance. That is why I call them what I call them. What is wrong with that?

China will nuke Japan at the Yokosuka Naval Base and Okinawa. Even if they didn't, the US is not going to interpret some other Japanese target, excluding those, as a dilemma. It would be a monumental mistake for China to target somewhere besides those facilities. It won't matter to us, we will target them with nukes in return since their threat to us would be existential. The next volley could be those bases and we couldn't stop it if it came from a sub. Japan is an ally, and China would have demonstrated they have no problem lobbing nukes around. We wouldn't be risking "retaliation", we would interpret that as a strike against us.

Or are saying we'd be frightened and afraid to retaliate? The fear we would have at that point is existential and we are prepared to fight at all costs to defend that. The public would demand all out war.

Besides the major military facilities they host there, we would defend Japan at all costs because now they are going to be our backup for motherboards, custom chips, and printed circuits with the announcement of a TSMC plant build there. We have no motherboard manufacturing in the US and it is one of our Achilles Heels.

China won't nuke its enemies piecemeal because it guarantees their defeat. No one would restrain themselves from building nukes if China started casually lobbing nukes at "helpless" countries. They would never rely on a scare tactic against the entire nuclear world and risk complete, total annihilation. They will throw everything they have at us when the time comes.

They're not going to try to wait us out in a kind of Cold War 2.0 as they learned from the Soviet's mistake. As time goes on they will lose the initiative in many ways, including allowing us to improve in every way and widen the combat superiority gap even more - as is our doctrine. The new Japanese TSMC plant is a blow to them since now we won't have Taiwan as a tech single point-of-failure. As the world adjusts its posture to face China, their aspirations become harder to attain.

The US is also planning hundreds more new naval ships though only one new carrier anytime soon. Every year Taiwan's defenses get more sophisticated adding enormous costs to any invasion. Time is not on China's side if they want to retake Taiwan and punish Japan because we stand in their way.

My guess is in the absence of some event that triggers a chain of escalating conflict, they will wait until they have their two new nuke subs operational.

Surprisingly Chinese like Americans, as John has pointed out. They don't want to have to fight us, but have no choice since we stand in their way on Japan and Taiwan. I saw a vid asking young Chinese if they'd date/marry foreigners. Most said yes, and their top choice was French(romantic), Americans(strong willed), and Russians. They generally like us and their Secret Services don't harass American expats to any degree near that of Africans (including white South Africans), Indians, Middle Easterners. They hate those groups as subhuman.

I'm sure that the 30 million illegals that are about to become "Americans" will rally to the American flag and join the army.
John thinks so and has support from people like Ilya Somin, and Bryan Caplan, who think our resistance to invaders is misguided and irrational.

This article is half a dud for me, though makes a great point that our votes mean nothing, so we have to always have an exit plan. Our success and happiness is easier to achieve by relocating than voting.
