Generational Dynamics World View News
Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Re: Media - I have mentioned this here a couple of times before (perhaps just as a "Guest"), but Fox News is controlled opposition that betrayed their viewer base last November, and cannot be trusted. The "alternative" for conservatives, Newsmax, is also controlled opposition. For an actually reliable news network in America, the best and perhaps only option is One America News - if you have access to a provider that isn't excluding them. (The fact every liberal provider excludes OAN from their "services" should tell you all you need to know about their reliability.) As for newspapers that are actual journalism and not Marxist propaganda, I again strongly recommend subscribing to The Epoch Times, who have also suffered from Big Tech censorship.

The citizens are just like the politicians... all liars and full of sh%t. That's why they continue to vote in the same morons over and over again. 20% of the citizens have a brain, the other 80% are on the planet, not in it.

This article seems plausible to me. I'd love to hear what Navigator and any other military / LE readers think.

It has been "finished" for most of your life, at the very least since Bork wrote Slouching Toward Gomorrah. This is again classic doom porn, so common around here. I don't have a bright outlook for the future, except for regionalism/localism. We'll see how that works out - I honestly don't know. But it is curious that supply lines are squeezed and inflation is clear, yet we keep hearing about deflation. There are tons of zombie companies, so it is possible that Main St keeps taking it on the chin with rents, gas, food, etc and then the fragility hits the market overvaluations and indebted companies, so they can yell "Deflation!"Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 10:57 amAmerica is finished.spottybrowncow wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 6:50 amThis article seems plausible to me. No contest from me on this one. You get the shitty leaders you deserve, yes. What has happened since the 1960s and specifically 1965? Yes, you know, and you should know also who is in charge of these things.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:03 amThe citizens are just like the politicians... all liars and full of sh%t. The percentage of citizens who vote in the same people over and over again (based on the numbers from last year's elections) is between 96 and 99%. Those who actually have the guts to vote in different people are between 1 and 4%.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:03 amThe citizens are just like the politicians... all liars and full of sh%t. The true turning point was 1960, not 1965.Cool Breeze wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 1:20 pmWhat has happened since the 1960s and specifically 1965? Yes, you know, and you should know also who is in charge of these things.
1960 was the year that JFK, the first "celebrity" president, was elected. Ever since then, American politics has been slowly transforming from a "battle of policies" to a "battle of religions."
The American people at large have stopped viewing politicians as mere elected representatives, and now view them as gods to be worshipped. They no longer vote according to what they actually believe in, but rather in accordance to the political religion they have adopted. They vote out of compulsion, not out of conviction.
The politicians know this. And that's why they think, or rather know, that they can get away with whatever they want. Since 1960, the only president who has had the guts to even address this dark trend was Carter. JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama, Trump, and now Biden have said nothing and have even taken advantage of it, often with dire consequences for the American people at large.
It is hardly a coincidence that -- as Navigator pointed out months ago -- that Eisenhower was the last president to NOT make any critical mistakes. Eisenhower was also the last pre-1960 president, after all.

Overfishing.
Perhaps China's greatest crime.
BTW, I was born in 1958 so I don't remember a decent POTUS.
