Is China hiding missiles in cargo ship containers?

Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Most likely not. Having missile launchers the size of shipping containers isn't new. The US has them and there have been proposals to use them by either lashing them to the deck of another warship or using a freighter. Note that the containers only house the missiles. You still need the control stations for them and target acquisition using radar or some other sensors.DaKardii wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:08 pmIs China hiding missiles in cargo ship containers?

Neither China nor anyone else is going to (semi)permanently install them on cargo ships because it would interfere with there main operation; carrying cargo. Similarly, they aren't going to be snuck into another country because you would still need the control equipment along with the personal needed for that and to perform routine maintenance. That can involve the need to remove the missiles from their launchers in order to access them. That require specialized equipment and is sort of obvious.
I think you can see that these are silly ideas and thus the whole article is as well. China doesn't nerd to do some kind of far-fetched Pearl Harbor attack; it just needs to keep US ships/aircraft away from China's coast and try to get the US to accept a fait accompli. If that doesn't work it's probably going to get down to nuclear weapons.

John,
or Vince or Aeden, perhaps this belongs in the financial thread.
It's been a few years, but at one time John discussed the lead up to the 1929 Wall street crash as being marked by wild fluctuations between highs and lows in the market. Isn't that what we are experiencing at this moment? Black Friday was almost nothing but pain in the financial sector, but we have already erased all those losses, and this is not the first time that has happened recently.
The second half of that discussion about 1929 was an explanation that although there was an obvious start to the troubles on Black Thursday, much more damage was done when investors waded back in, but the market kept finding new bottoms. It seems to me those investors of old had the same mindset as today's BTFD movement. This has been a rewarding strategy ever since "Too Big to Fail", and I can see how some could fall into a Pavlovian trap where the bell starts meaning pain instead of food but they can't help themselves.
I suppose the actual question boils down to, "Are you guys seein' this shit?".

We see it all, but the funny thing is that even though CPI (a horrible measure by anyone actually tracking cost of living for any sector of American, but certainly most if not all) is increasing in ways not seen in a long, long time ... we keep hearing people talk about deflation.
The distant future may be deflationary, but the Fed is indirectly increasing the money supply due to their support of Fiscal profligacy (the politicians/treasury). And it's happening to a great degree.
Again, inflation, then deflation. I've said it for over a year, and I'm still correct.

“Sins of the flesh are not the most serious,” the 84-year-old religious leader said regarding sex outside of marriage. Top transgressions instead include pride and hatred, according to Reuters.
I see the Pope is at it again: doing the best he can to destroy an ancient institution. But hey, the Church has become so 'woke' that he desrves to go broke and disappear after jailing the perverts who run it.
Come n Church defenders, defend this...

Sins of the flesh are not as serious as pride and hatred.
They are still sins, and thus considerably serious.

Church defenders? I defend THE Church, but not THAT church. The Church is the Body of Christ and we know that ALL sin is serious, but also forgivable. Only the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 7:54 pmhttps://nypost.com/2021/12/08/pope-says ... t-serious/Pope Francis says ‘sins of the flesh’ aren’t that ‘serious’

This and most of the other stories I have seen that mentioned it have all been "Ha Ha that boat is so ugly and they paid so much!" but the potential for money transfer/laundering is huge.
It reminds me of the stories about art pieces that are bought and sold several times but never actually leave a warehouse on the docks to avoid import fees. In this case however you don't even need to pretend there is a painting in that box because the entire thing is just a picture someone drew in an "also ran" virtual word.

Don't imitate or follow the lives of those that aren't saints, or pay mind to them. One must have a patristic understanding to know what the Church is, which is a real historical entity.
Bergoglio ain't no saint. I have no assessment on him, but what I see politically, and as a result, it's clear what he is and is not. And of course, God will judge him in the last day just like he'll judge you and me.
But we do know what the Church is, as the Saints have confirmed, just like their lives have also demonstrated that Christ is the Light of the World.

Pope Francis would just be another wacky guy talking to himself at the bus stop if it weren't for the fact that his utterances helped shape global policies. We live in a strange dystopia now. I no longer fear nuclear. I now view it is a form of salvation, an escape. Yes, sir. Bring on the war.thomasglee wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 9:17 amChurch defenders?
