Russia does want a land corridor to this area, but that would have to go through Lithuania or Poland.
Why, navigator? I am American, but I do not particularly want a land corridor going through Canada to Alaska.

Kaliningrad is the base of the Russian Baltic fleet. This Russian "enclave" is increasingly an armed camp aimed at Poland and NATO. A land corridor would allow an even greater buildup of Russian military, and would be an increasingly serious threat to Poland.

It was the desire for a "land corridor" to East Prussia (the same area we are talking about) that was the reason for German attack on Poland that started WW2 in Europe.

** 23-Jan-2022 World View: Ukraine invasion vs Beijing Olympics

This is interesting. There was an analyst on Bloomberg tv saying that
Xi Jinping wants all worldwide hostilities to end during the Beijing
Olympic games, which start on February 4, so that the Olympics will
have the world's undivided attention. According to this analyst, Xi
Jinping would be very angry if there were an invasion of Ukraine going
on during the Olympics, since that would overshadow the Olympics. The
same would be true of the Paralympics, which start on March 4.

I thought John Kerry was bad with his "red line" gaffs, but Biden is catastrophically worse. How can the American press continue to cover for Biden? It's despicable.

Send US troops to Ukraine--> one regiment of the 82nd Airborne would do. Then move all of the American combat troops in Germany into Poland and Ukraine. If the Germans say anything about, destroy Germany on the way out. Scorched earth begins there. It's time to fight.

Otherwise, NATO is over.

What is America going to do when the Russians are invading Finland and Denmark??

Baltics to Black Sea

The Russians have also moved amphibious landing ships from Murmansk to the Baltics, and this could be part of a larger operation on the part of the Russians.
I believe the above statement to be mistaken. Best reports have the Russians moving these ships from the Baltics to the Black Sea, which would mean potential moves with them against Ukraine.

** 24-Jan-2022 World View: Headlines from Reuters this morning

NATO said it was putting forces on standby and reinforcing eastern
Europe with more ships and fighter jets in response to Russia's
military build-up at Ukraine's borders. Former Ukrainian lawmaker
Yevhen Murayev derided British allegations that he could be installed
as leader of a Kremlin puppet government in Kyiv, and told Reuters in
an interview that he was considering legal action.

The United Arab Emirates said it had foiled another Houthi missile
attack following last week's deadly assault on the Gulf state as the
Iran-aligned group takes aim at the safe haven status of the region's
tourism and commercial hub.

Two U.S. aircraft carrier groups have entered the disputed South China
Sea for training, the Department of Defense said as Taiwan reported a
new Chinese air force incursion at the top of the waterway including a
fearsome new electronic warfare jet.

Shares across the world fell as the prospect of a Russian attack on
Ukraine quashed demand for riskier assets, bolstering the dollar,
buoying oil and bruising bitcoin.

Germany is nothing but a beaten woman. Ignore the Germans and transfer equipment and troops across the country at will. Treat them as a subjugated people.

Bar the Germans from SWIFT and ban all German products in the West.

Move American and NATO troops (at this point, probably just England) into the Baltics and Poland. Also, Romania and Moldova.

After the Russians have been pushed back, transfer ALL refugees in Western Europe to German territory. Make them all German citizens on the German welfare roles.

That's just the beginning.

The Germans are useless obstacles. Nothing more. It's time to brake them completely.

Maybe Germany and Russia are bringing out the old Molotov Ribbentrop treaty for another look at.
Its never good for Europe when Germany and Russia make deals.

If western educational institutions had taught any of the horrors of Marxist socialism over the last 30 years, instead of fixating totally on WWII and slavery, people would have a far better understand of the relationship between the Russians and the Ukrainians.

At 63 I'm too old to be conscripted but I have followed the advice of my local Council and painted the outsides of my windows white and reinforced my kitchen table.

Germany is neutered, Macron want's separate appeasement talks and Putin has no way back - the only question is how far will this go.
