Alas, the Best Outcome in Ukraine Now May be a Relatively Quick Russian Victory
By Selwyn Duke
Well, imagine it’s April 1945, Hitler knows WWII is lost and he’s sitting in his bunker. Now also imagine, however, that he has Putin’s 6,000 nuclear weapons a button’s touch away. What would he do?
We all know.
The point: Many have theorized that Putin may be physically and/or even mentally unwell. A renowned psychiatrist posits that he may even have Paranoid Personality Disorder. He also wields something uncomfortably close to absolute power in Russia, and it has been said that he has staked everything on this war and cannot lose it. So, while we can’t read his mind, do we really want to risk turning him into a man with nothing to lose, a man who maybe, just perhaps, could descend to a point where all he wants is to see the world burn?

Destruction in Ukraine and the Conflict to Come
By John F. Di Leo
That washing machine we make here depends on a motor and pump from Taiwan. That sump pump we make down the road depends on an impellor and casting from China. That SUV that we proudly make in a Midwest assembly line contains computer chips, printed circuit boards, water pumps, power locks and dashboard instrument clusters sourced from all over Asia.
What happens to the American manufacturing sector when war breaks out in Asia, and the factories we depend on are reduced to rubble?

US official: Russia seeking military aid from China

Putin and Xi: Look to Beijing for the real reason behind the Ukraine invasion
Now enter Beijing’s own political objective: Taiwan. Any military adventure that Xi deploys in an effort to unify the “breakaway province” of Taiwan with China likely would be met with an almost immediate sea blockade. Such dependence on the sea is an unacceptable vulnerability for China’s business model; hence, Xi’s desire to create a land bridge for food products and natural resources.
