For any of the trolls who are still trying to falsely claim that our own government isn't evil, or at least not to the same extent as Russia, consider this.
The illegitimate Biden regime's response to Elon Musk buying Twitter earlier this week was to create a Ministry of Truth in America, in the form of one Disinformation Governance Board. You know who else had a Ministry of Truth? Hitler and Stalin.
Here is just one article discussing this:
https://nypost.com/2022/04/28/joe-biden ... on-bureau/
From what I understand, this is not about policing free speech, but putting out public information to counter deliberate disinformation. This something that was first discussed during the height of the Covid pandemic. A lot of lives were lost because of effective anti-vaxxer campaigns online. I also think they are trying to highlight professional online trolls.
I agree that social media has targeted conservatives online and often, perhaps usually, deletes their comments, which is wrong.
Musk is inconsistent. Maybe he will allow for free speech, or maybe not. Elon Musk was once the darling of the left. Now is has been villianized. Musk has gone after people online himself. Elon musk has a screw loose.
I think an agency is needed to expose disinformation, but it should be done without censorship. I think the government plans to offer rebuttals.
Slippery slope. You’re okay with opposing views and voices being silenced now, but might not in the future. The vaccine has been a net positive, but everything surrounding COVID is murky at best. A lot of lives were lost because gain of function research was funded:

It’s not like China seeded the world with COVID at the start
(See John’s articles/posts)
But hey, forget that, the media tells you “anti-vaxxers” are to blame for deaths. Better make sure the ministry of truth combats that “disinformation.”
I knew two people personally who died from Covid. What did they have in common? They both refused to get the Covid vaccine. They were not technically anti-vaxxers because as far as I know, they had had all of the other vaccines. However, they bought into the YouTube anti-vax conspiracy theories and you to squawk about it at work.
They are dead.
I know of one other person (a friend of a family member) that also died. He had also refused to be vaccinated. I don't know why, but he had refused. I can only assume that he had been too scared after all the craziness that was being spouted on social media.
I have medical doctors in my family that assured me it was alright, not that I had ever worried about it because I hadn't.
I do think that a more effective campaign could have been carried out to help people sort through it all. I wouldn't support banning it, but actively refuting it is definitely a good idea.
As for refuting Russian prop, yes, we should. We have always combated enemy propaganda. We have always done that. Most of the pro-Putin crowd I have encountered are Christian evangelicals whack jobs. I wonder what they think if they could read about how gay Putin and his guru are?
