Can anyone tell me why the dollar dropped on the news that the Europeans raised rates less than 18 hours after announcing a massive (borrowed) energy bailout? Am I missing something?

Thank you.

I am guessing you don't buy my claim that "there is real risk the dollar goes into hyperinflation".
The US is a few years behind Japan on their own QE experiment. At this point the BOJ is buying all the JGB bonds
that anyone sells with newly made money. The more they do this the more the Yen goes down.
The faster the Yen goes down the more stupid it is for anyone to hold 10 year Yen bonds paying 0.25%,
so the faster people sell. But the faster they sell bonds, the faster the BOJ prints new money. It is a death spiral.
Probably Japan can not stop it and probably the Yen is going to keep going down.
Give the dollar a few years and I expect a similar thing.
Time will tell.

The outside currencies will fail first, the defaults will cause chaos and confusion, and WW3 (hot portion) will break out shortly thereafter. This could still be put off for a while, but it certainly looks like 2024 to 2032 we are in for the big cycle news we haven't seen for a long time.

The value of the dollar falls, dollar-denominated prices of commodities rise.

Market bounced off support.
H and myself will short maybe after a fill the gap up or maybe not.

At the open we nibbled on SBSW. Doctor Copper was beat up on the curb in that zone.
Utilize cper which is US copper as a indicator.
The root issue is the EU learned the lesson once again confidence was not separated from arrogated technocrats who are looting
also as we never fight the tape here.

I went 4% short Friday at 4055. Put 29% in one year bills paying 3.57% last week and the rest is in cash waiting to short more.
While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

My extensive filter did not see that. No malice was intended and my package did not see the mal.

After the gap up we will decide as H did on measures.
United States Treas Bds 7.625% 11/15/22 mature.
The calls on energy will be gauged.
Remember the liquidity providers are on many levels ignored.

They ignored the lightswitch.

Locally the only issue is they are breaking in on the Elderly and whatever beating them to the point of death.
Now they want to release the animals and leave zones defenseless.
Go ahead call the the Law. They are telling us we will show to collect the body and twist on a toe tag.
The BISH zones as we are warned are about to increase as such and descend. Your vote.

Self inflicted by political stupidity and irrational green cults.

Your vacation from this thread was great...I miss it already.
