Kaspersky technologies detected a number of attempts to execute similar elevation-of-privilege exploits on Microsoft Windows servers belonging to small and medium-sized businesses in the Middle East, in North America, and previously in Asia regions. These exploits were very similar to already known Common Log File System (CLFS) driver exploits that we analyzed previously, but we decided to double check and it was worth it – one of the exploits turned out to be a zero-day, supporting different versions and builds of Windows, including Windows 11. The exploit was highly obfuscated with more than 80% of the its code being “junk” elegantly compiled into the binary, but we quickly fully reverse-engineered it and reported our findings to Microsoft. Microsoft assigned CVE-2023-28252 to the Common Log File System elevation-of-privilege vulnerability, and a patch was released on April 11, 2023, as part of April Patch Tuesday.

Here is an argument that America is not analogous to endstate Roman Empire, but to endstate Roman Republic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5Ww8NYq-b4
39:11
"Also the whole Peter Zeihan argument that I think makes a decent amount of sense"
"the US could just totally leave its entire world empire and stop being a policeman"
"This is a massive difference between America and the Roman's geostrategic position"

First, I don't know why people feel the need to quote Peter Zeihan.

He breezes by the above, but if this is the case I think it will render everything he says up to minute 39 null and void.

I'm going to make a novice attempt to define the difference between the beginning of a Dark Age and a typical fourth turning crisis era.

First attempt: A Dark Age is defined as the social and political breakdown of a regional or world hegemonic power which creates a power vacuum for which there is no clear and immediate successor.
While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

The South African power grid is on the brink. The black government has neglected the grid since coming to power in the 1990s. Crippling corruption has destroyed the once fantastic Afrikaner constructed infrastructure.

Black outs, rolling blacks, electrical outages, in South Africa are called loadshedding. We are currently at Stage 6 loadshedding, which is severe power cuts of 10 to 12 hours per day. For me, working from home, it is extremely difficult at the moment. No electricity, no work , no pay for me. I have an app on my phone that keeps me up to date with the schedule. So time management is so important. I sleep when lights are off and work when lights are on, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a rough schedule for me. I am only talking about my work. Let alone the other activities that demand electricity in my household.

Europe is facing power issues because of drought and oil supply issues. My friends and family in Europe expect the same to start happening to them soon.

Why don't you get a Universal Power Supply (UPS)?

Interesting, my limited personal experience confirms the above. There is a famous custom knife maker in South Africa from whom I ordered some knives in 2020. He mentioned that his production had been slowed by "rolling blackouts" due to the incompetent government-run power monopoly, but he had recently acquired a generator, which helped him enormously.

Was rereading the h41 thread from way before in forums.
We will stay on the bone pile and lightswitch trades.
Oil moves and net to tbill90 day with select stocks that actually produce inputs.

Watching copper, lead and usual suspects charts more since they indicate LEI lag periods for traction to PPI numbers also.
The current contracts closed daily on spy and the actual market noise is known as before.
The middle pack moving to smart money against dump money indicators has moved more to capital preservation mode.
Also a blond told ftx your business model is wrong. Million was refused to endorse the theft based model.
Good for Her.

This should bring back maps what we had seen before also many have seen here.
Generate a self-reinforcing cycle of debt saturation, declining collateral and credit contraction.
Mr. Market is not disconnected from reality. We will see soon enough we contend only.

Corporate pullout to survival in no go zones just to to survive with the remnant now of order and law. The locusts in the US Economy will Collapse it because they can't afford to pay the Interest on the Debt as the demographics Feral's take it out as Alinskys with active measures. The fools blame information because these extremely disturbed individuals want to see how far they can go and will unchecked. Their leaders and school curriculum have brainwashed an entire cohort into believing they are victims of an unjust society and deserve to act out their rage on others. You get what you vote for and the people voted for crime politicians. The script warning has been running since 1974. Books mattered you do not and did not. Get of my lawn days will now be seen as blessing. Go abandoned the creator not the other way around. Hosea listened as Amos warned to events. You did not.

Combahee River Collective, was a Black lesbian social justice collective formed in Boston in 1974. Yes, we seen the rise of it as identity politics, is a term coined by the Combahee River Collective in 1977.

You see, the real value of a conflict, the true value, is in the debt that it creates. You control the debt, you control everything.

You have seen some and learned even less. Sadly, Andropov was correct to facts you cannot wish to understand since yes you are corrupt.

The downside to this is that every technological quantum leap also bifurcates society into a breakaway civilization that gets to front-run the new technology.
They won't be able to but the good thing about it is that eventually they will figure out that they've been heading in the wrong direction for 80 years and will figure out how to get back on track. It'll take about 80 years to get back on track.

The Washington Post

A silent crisis in men’s health gets worse

Across the life span -- from infancy to the teen years, midlife and old age -- boys and men are more likely to die than girls and women

By Tara Parker-Pope and Caitlin Gilbert
April 17, 2023 at 11:29 a.m. EDT

A silent crisis in men’s health is shortening the life spans of fathers, husbands, brothers and sons.

For years, the conventional wisdom has been that a lack of sex-specific health research mainly hurts women and gender minorities. While those concerns are real, a closer look at longevity data tells a more complicated story.

Across the life span — from infancy to the teen years, midlife and old age — the risk of death at every age is higher for boys and men than for girls and women.

The result is a growing longevity gap between men and women. In the United States, life expectancy in 2021 was 79.1 years for women and 73.2 years for men. That 5.9-year difference is the largest gap in a quarter-century.

This was fed right to the top of my internet browser homepage. Right to the top.

Since this was published in The Washington Post, it would seem these statistics are somehow not serving the elite.

The first thing that comes to mind is an episode of the Brady Bunch from about 50 years ago where one of the kids is advised to say,

"Something suddenly came up."

Why is the Washington elite suddenly concerned about the health of men?

Is war imminent and the health of young men who are needed to serve as cannon fodder suddenly a concern?
Is the diminishing work force and the fact that many men evidently can no longer see their way through their 60s or even their 50s in the workforce suddenly a concern?
Is the fact that too many men are or may be leaving widows and orphans behind suddenly a concern?

"Something suddenly came up?"

Because, as a man, I know for a fact that the elites have no concern whatsoever for my health, or the health of any common man. They've proven that over and over and over again and, as the title of the article admits, have been silent while I have witnessed friends in crisis.
Every branch of the military is struggling to make its 2022 recruiting goals, officials say

With a record low number of Americans eligible to serve, and few of those willing to do it, this "is the year we question the sustainability of the all-volunteer force,” said an expert.

June 27, 2022, 3:30 AM CDT
By Courtney Kube and Molly Boigon

The pool of those eligible to join the military continues to shrink, with more young men and women than ever disqualified for obesity, drug use or criminal records. Last month, Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville testified before Congress that only 23% of Americans ages 17-24 are qualified to serve without a waiver to join, down from 29% in recent years.

A lack of military recruits resulting from a 77% failure to meet basic standards is clearly indicative of a social and political breakdown that has the potential to create a power vacuum.

That's just one issue, though. One example of something less clear and less discussed is is the Marine Corps' Force Design 2030 which some feel will reduce readiness and flexibility to respond.
The divestitures proposed and underway to support FD 2030 have weakened the Marine Corps’ combined arms capabilities and threaten to significantly impair Marine Corps’ capabilities to meet worldwide contingency response. The tanks, cannon artillery, engineers, and short-range attack aviation seen as less relevant today are all outgrowths of General Thomas Holcomb’s reimagination of the Marine Corps that Wood rightfully points to as making profound contributions to the victory in World War II. FD 2030 will turn back the clock and return the Marine Corps to a pre-World War II force incapable of conducting large-scale operations. The Marine Corps must be able to respond to a wide range of contingencies and always succeed when tasked, if it is to continue its 247-year history of unparalleled service to the nation. What advocates of FD 2030 propose will ultimately result in an increasingly irrelevant Marine Corps, not its transformation into a force that is adequately prepared to act and serve in the twenty-first century.

Dark Age Chronicles

We had a form that we were told needed to be notarized but it didn't have the proper format for the notary to put their info and seal. Typical pre dark age dilemma. We went to the big bank we have an account at and, though they did have someone available, he told us, no, they can't do it because it has to be done properly. I agreed and we tried the UPS Store and same response. So my wife said she had seen a notary place down in the Hispanic neighborhood and she drove it down there and got it notarized for free.

I'll just continue this when the really notable stuff comes up. Things like this have been typical for several years.
