'The most chilling metric of all': Mike Rowe warns that 7 million American men are 'done' looking for work and have 'punched out' — why that's a serious problem

March 19, 2023

Men have been steadily clocking out of the American workforce since pre-pandemic times — even now despite there being millions of job openings and an uncertain economic climate.

While the U.S. labor market remains incredibly tight — with the economy adding another 517,000 jobs in December — around 7 million “prime age” men between the ages of 25 and 54 are reportedly sitting it out.

“They are affirmatively not looking for work. They've punched out. They're done,” TV host Mike Rowe said on The Brian Kilmeade Show, citing research from economist Nick Eberstadt.

Meanwhile, In a memo to Lyndon Johnson, Moynihan attempted to explain this appalling new development by correlating it with what appeared to be a breakdown in the Negro family. All the public attention went to his explanation, which was merely a first approximation, but the facts he sought to explain did not go away because reasonable doubts were thrown on his explanation; indeed, the trend lines he had uncovered became more frighteningly evident in the boom years of the late 1960's. Job training failed; community action became a nursery for infantile leftism; a disproportionate fraction of the money spent on the poverty program went to social workers and other professionals, whose utility seemed minimal;

The decline in labor force participation of men aged 25-54 has been a straight line down since 1955. Nobody was concerned. So, again, I would ask, "Why the sudden change?" Half of the 7 million are getting disability checks and half are on daily pain meds, according to a discussion I watched.

As for the reasons they're not working, they are various. The previous pages of this topic have discussed several reasons. Some were purposely driven loony by the establishment for refusing to comply and placed on permanent disability. Some refused to train affirmative action or diversity hires, realizing they would have been disposed of regardless. Some would rather be poor and unemployed than be poor, employed and mistreated. Some find that their parents, girlfriends, or wives can more easily navigate the minefields in the workplace and make a joint decision to take that approach. There are probably dozens of reasons and looking at statistics will not find the answers.

One stick - small three carrots and the real estate between your ears.
You are correct to the effects seen and the cognitive bias routes we studied
utilized for metrics ignored.

Systems are only as good as their inputs. Demming tried to mitigate the suicide of American production bias.
The machine produced a component unable to be repaired. AI was utilized. I watched the CNC solution for the implementation.
I will not buy one already in production. Explain that to the educated.

Looking at this would make me wonder if some vague thing like "Retirement Affordability and Security" peaked around 1993 when the labor force participation rate of 55+ made its low. This would probably have something to do with the fact that the part of the workforce that was retirement age in 1993 had 40-45 years of stable employment starting post WWII, often with the same employer.

Stable retirement went away with Clinton and Bain Group as the Pension guarantee trust was set up to avert the looting of pensions as s corp assets.
This transitioned to IRS 936. This modeled the LITC bond issues we discussed at length and our federal lawsuit in Dallas for stock warrants from covenant violation of assets.

D noted the early retirements are crushed from the repressionary phase indicated fron the 2008 planned contagion we did work on as spouses are now booted off benefits on the left coast in real time underway. The femnazi wanted equal footing now they got it.

Gold - Fiat conflict in plain view.
Wagner Group operatives have been training RSF forces and providing security for Sudanese gold mines, and Prigozhen has flown several transport planes of gold out of the country as payment.
Russia has been trying to establish a naval base in Sudan, but if Abdel Fattah al-Burhan sucessfully transitions Sudan to a civilian led democracy,
there will be no need for either Wagner Group, nor a Russian naval base.
This has incentivized Wagner to support the RSF to try to overthrow the national government.

Check out what the Janjaweed did in Darfor. This is why they work with Wagner.

If/then as we noted before.

The finding that nearly half of prime age, NLF men take pain medication on any given day and that 40 percent report that pain prevents them from accepting a job suggests that pain management interventions could potentially be helpful.

NLF = not in the labor force

A lot of men's skeletal structures (spines mostly) have already been destroyed, so for those it is pretty much a done deal. That probably goes back to soil depletion, factory farms, fast food and other sources of malnutrition.

This could be considered another indirect source of population depletion if someone wanted to count it that way. The people are here, but not really present in any significant way.

The idea of climate change originated in the Soviet Union. A genius idea of tricking your enemy to damage their own industrial capacity without having to attack them directly.

Dark Age thinking - lets adopt a climate change policy that came from an enemy country. Lets inject our population with a shot that came from an enemy country that developed it, tested it, and didn't use it on their own people.

I'm guessing that the Soviet Union/Russia never really followed their own climate change science similiar to how China didnt inject their people with mRNA.

Natural gas may become a fuel of the past — at least in New York. And more than gas stoves will be discontinued, with New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul agreeing to a deal with Democratic lawmakers that would bar natural gas statewide.

The preliminary deal, the New York Post reported, would mandate all new buildings under seven stories to be fully electric by 2026. Larger structures would be affected in 2029, and it's part of a wider $229 billion spending plan.

"Everyone knows we've seen the effects of climate change, the storms, the hurricanes coming to New York, record snow amounts," Hochul told reporters Thursday. "Our budget prioritizes nation-leading climate action that meets this moment with ambition and the commitment it demands."

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of my mentor, climatologist Mikhail Budyko (1920–2001). Fifty years ago, when the science of climate change prediction was in its infancy, this scientist from the Soviet Union made a series of climate predictions that have proven to be surprisingly on target in the years since.

These predictions were not as well known as some of his other work. The reason for this had to do, as Budyko recalled in a 1990 interview, with most of his colleagues at the time rejecting the idea of unavoidable, long-term global warming as something absolutely impossible. It took almost 20 years for the scientific establishment to accept this paradigm.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Budyko
Mikhail Ivanovich Budyko (1920–2001) was a Soviet climatologist perhaps best known in the West for his contribution to understandings of climate change. He acted as director of the Main Geophysical Observatory (named after A.I. Voeikov) in Leningrad (St Petersburg) from 1954 and played an active role in advancing Soviet climate agendas within an international context.
This review has been chiefly interested in the development of Budyko's main ideas concerning climate systems as reflected in his published work. It is clear from the above analysis that Budyko's work was disseminated relatively widely in the West via the translation of key works from the 1950s onwards and this also included English translations of his published articles in Soviet journals such as Meteorology and Hydrology (Meteorologiya i gidrologiya). While beyond the central focus of this paper, it is worth reflecting a little more on the extent to which Budyko engaged with Western climate scientists and international initiatives around climate change toward the end of the Soviet period.
One of Budyko's most high profile international roles was linked to the activities of the aforementioned joint US–USSR Commission on the Protection of the Environment which emerged in 1972 and included a Working Group VIII concerned with ‘The influence of environmental changes on climate.’ Budyko would act as Co-chair of this particular Working Group. A Special Report was published in 1990, right at the end of the Soviet period, which pooled the findings of the various activities associated with the Working Group that had taken place during the late 1970s and 1980s. The introduction to the Special Report made some bold statements including: ‘Since the 1970s, Soviet and US scientists have recognized that global warming would be inevitable as a consequence of the ongoing perturbations to atmospheric composition.’ (Ref 60, p. xi). It went on to highlight two important areas of collaboration, the first linked to a deeper empirical analysis of climate via the accumulation of both contemporary and historical data, and the second to the development of sophisticated models ‘that explicitly represent the dynamics, thermodynamics, and hydrology of the atmosphere based on the fundamental laws of physics.’ (Ref 60, p. xii).

Budyko and his work would also feature significantly in the pioneering activities of the IPCC. He contributed to section five of the first Scientific Assessment concerned with ‘equilibrium climate change and its implications for the future’ and was a named peer reviewer for this report together with three other Soviet scientists, namely G.S. Golitsyn, I.L. Karol, and V. Meleshko.
Interestingly, the idea of "Nuclear Winter Theory" came out of the Soviet Union. This theory has led to the degradation of U.S. Civil Defense. The U.S. has not prepared for nuclear war unlike Russia. The idea that there is no point in preparing to survive a nuclear war because of a global winter is another attack by the same enemy who is tricking us to damage our industrial capacity out of fear of climate change.
Golitsyn is regarded by some in Russia as the author of the nuclear winter theory,[2] which was also developed by Vladimir Alexandrov and G.I.Stenchikov[3] and by the authors of the so-called TTAPS study.[4] In 1982 he became aware of the work of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences on the subject and attended the TTAPS review meeting with Alexandrov and Nikolai Moiseev in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in April 1983.[5] He applied his model of dust storms to the situation that might follow a nuclear catastrophe[6][7] and reported his findings at the first Meeting of the Committee of Soviet Scientists in Defence of Peace Against the Nuclear Threat in May 1983, of which he became a vice-chairman. In 1984 he participated in an expert group under the World Climate Research Programme to prepare the United Nations report “Climatic and other consequences of large-scale nuclear war”.
