Reuters/Ipsos Survey: Israel Hamas War

Americans want to help civilians in Gaza get out of harm's way and support for the U.S. supporting Israel's position has risen since the 2014 conflict with Hamas.

Washington DC, October 16, 2023 — A new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds that two-thirds of Americans report following the situation in Israel and Gaza closely, with about one in three Americans following the situation very closely (30%). About half of Americans say that Hamas is most responsible for the current conflict and four in five Americans view Hamas as a terrorist organization. More than three in five Americans view Israel favorably, and support for Israel's position is up from the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas. Four in five Americans say that civilians fleeing Gaza should be allowed to flee to a safe country, and about four in five Americans say Americans diplomats should be working on a plan to allow civilians fleeing Gaza to move to a safe country.

Israel has always played both sides of the fence on the issue and mostly in Russia's favor. Now countries that are appalled by the brutality of the invasion of Gaza will withdraw support with little or no public backlash. Seeing as how the general public is now weary of the war, this will be double plus bad for Ukraine.

Game over. And it didn't have to be this way.
Yes it did.

Are you going to, or have you reported on how Israel created and funded Hamas? This is easy to find and verify - you can find Netanyahu quotes about it everywhere. It shows a lot of the confusion regarding evaluation of the entire situation.

That more than half is 53%. How wide was the margin of victory in the last five elections?

How will these numbers hold up in the coming weeks and months?

Biden is finished.

The best insight into Hamas/Hezbollah is from the movie "The Green Prince". This is the story of the son of the founder of Hamas, and his journey of discovery about what it was really about and what was really going on. You can watch it on YouTube for about $2. Here is the link to the preview (witch will give you the buy/rent option):

Hamas has put the Palestinian population into the same situation as the Nazis put the German population of Silesia into (see previous posts - in the end the Silesia population lost their homes and their land and were forcibly relocated to West Germany). They are going to experience total war. That means being bombed, starved, and de-housed.

The Arabs have been using these poor people (the Palestinians) as pawns for decades. Their "leadership" are a bunch of crooks and despots who want to continually stir up trouble while keeping these people dependent on foreign aid so that they can skim it for themselves.

The Arabs have purposely denied Palestinians work permits and passports since 1947 to put them into this situation. (the exception is the West Bank, where the population there became Jordanian citizens in the 1950s, and is whose territory they were living in up until Jordan lost the 6 day war in 1967). The population of Gaza should have been allowed to migrate into Egypt when Egypt owned the Gaza Strip in the 1947-1967 period, but Egypt refused to allow Gazans into Egypt to work or settle.

There could have been peaceful integration long ago (as per the Arabs living in Israel) but the Arab leadership wanted to use these people as continual pawns. Hence Jordan "revoking" the citizenship of the population of the West Bank.

At this point, I believe the only solution is to move the people out of Gaza and somewhere less dangerous to Israel. South Lebanon is probably the only viable solution. From there they can move/assimilate into northern Arab lands, or elsewhere. Hopefully somewhere where they can get out from under the control of Hamas/Hezbollah/PLO/Arab Leadership, who think nothing of using them as cannon fodder.

Germans are never going back to Silesia. "Palestinians" are never going to reclaim Israeli land, and, frankly, the recent attrocities in Israel are going to cost them Gaza as well.

Move the Palestinians to Canada, then they can take over and control another oil rich country.

They will not end up in Lebanon. You obviously do not understand the situation there at all. Nor will hey end up in Jordan. Most likely, they will stay in Gaza, the ones that survive

The Palestinians, if ethically cleansed, will end up in Western Europe! Millions of them. Add that to the million of Arabs already there and you have the next Caliphate. The Jews will be expelled from Western Europe. (It's only fair.)

Americans are dangerous fantasists, and it is the rest of the world that suffers because of it.

I'm sure we are all deeply touched by your, no doubt, heart felt concern for the Palestinians, or the "Palestinians" as you refer to them. Your supposed concern only partially masks the genocidal plans you have for them.

Aren't you supposed to Christian?

Or are you "Christian"?

Separation is the only viable solution at this point.

I think my posts show that I understand the situation as well as anyone.

Why not have them go to Europe? The Europeans have been importing Syrians/Tunisians/Algerians/etc for decades. Why not a few million more.

Most Jews were already expelled from Europe. Does WW2 and the Nazi's ring a bell with you? At some point, given conditions in Europe, I don't doubt that the rest of them will migrate to Israel voluntarily.

The USA has been the savior of the world for over a hundred years. Without it, despotism, either by Monarchs or Dictators, would have prevailed long ago. The US Constitution has been the model of democracy for the world since its establishment over 200 years ago.

Where would the world be now if, for example, the Caliphate had become the dominant force? We wouldn't even have electricity and would be living with 1600's standard of living. If that. Even worse problems with Hitler/Stalin types.

Where would Iraq be without America?
