This makes me wonder who they are going to get to put on that team. I've seen 2 similar situations. In the year 2000, the unanimous selection to head such a team to straighten out a safety problem was a 38 year old engineer from an adjacent team. In 2015, it was a hydrogeologist who was brought back from retirement. These situations were based on a recognition that something needed to be done before it became adverse news. In 2024, it seems that the talent pool available to handle such a thing is thin to nonexistent. Especially since nothing was recognized before it became adverse news.

It's at the point in the longer term (longer than 80 year) cycle where the younger native born populations in the West are no longer sufficient to carry the Western nations through the crisis on their own. Not too long ago, I watched an archived Zoom meeting led by a West African who was coaching perhaps 8 West Africans on how to get jobs in the financial industry. It required a passcode to view it and was archived for 3 months. It took place on a Sunday and lasted 3 hours. Basically, they were getting together in a network to learn how to crack the US job market. All were based in the US except one. The jobs they were going for started at about $30 per hour but it was mentioned that they had been able to get jobs paying as much as 200K. It was also mentioned that they had some people in the network running 2 work at home jobs at 70K each. One thing brought up was they knew the 5 questions that a certain recruiter for a bank asked in every interview so if anyone gets her they can work together to rehearse the interview ahead of time. There was no mention of Americans being lazy and stupid when things like this were brought up. Also, nothing was said about DEI, though I'm sure they are all aware of the reality. It was all about how to get the best possible seat at the table, moving from topic to topic such as step by step instructions for how to set up a profile, how to network online, how to dress, etc. One man said he had been an Uber driver before landing such a job.

I could deal with a dark age much better if i were not surrounded by races that hated me and at the same time expected me to provide for them and their families which is exactly the situation westerners find themselves in now.

I agree with most of what you write, H, but disagree with you completely that being flooded with migrants makes no difference. In Eastern Europe, people were extremely poor, but I didn't face rampant crime or hostile foreigners from third world countries who threatened me on a daily basis like I was when I lived in Paris, London, and Berlin. Those places have become open air mental hospitals for the criminally insane and stupid.

You mentioned living in Nigeria and what a shock it would be for westerners, now Nigeria has come to London and it is shock in many ways for the British because foreign migrants have more rights and protections than the native population.

Yes, we are heading into a new dark age, but why make it worse?
