Regarding US middle eastern interventions since 1990s - I also disagree with how these wars were prosecuted. In each case, we should have installed some kind of strong man - then left as quickly as possible. It was NEVER going to be possible to convert these places to democracies. Their cultures would not allow it.

But WHEN the US is attacked by the China-Russia-NorthKorea-Iran alliance, we will need to defend it. As bad as things are politically and culturally in the US, it would be immeasurably WORSE if XI and Putin were in charge of the world.

We should never have invaded Iraq. America kicked the cage open and flooded Europe with violent refugees. It was all pointless. A war based on lies which led America to curtail freedoms at home and legalized torture! America bec ame hated, which it was NOT before.

Saddam understood the situation and maintained Sunni minority control over a Shite majority. NOW we have a SHIA cresent across the Middle East. Is it fair to say that one person plus msnbc and the mainstream media form your opinion of Trump supporters? That would explain things.

I guess the short answer likely to find its way into future history books is that MAGA was an alliance of convenience between religious fanatics, bigots and elites, each with an ability to ignore the other's flaws. The religious fanatics lost the woman's vote, thus the ability to win elections. The bigots lost their habit of large scale violent protest after January 6. The elites noticed the opposition's favorable economic indicators. Crisis end. We'll see.

What strikes me about this liberal, scientism attitude of the lowest common denominator (it's just stuff!) is how hypocritical and contradictory it is. Are the megalithic structures of Great Zimbabwe just a pile of rocks, too? Something tells me that vandalism there would not be taken so lightly; it's only Western monuments that get this treatment. More than that, is Ukraine just a bunch of dirt? Are racial slurs just vowels and consonants? Is online "disinformation" and "harassment" a bunch of 1's and 0's? Is democracy a meaningless social construct? Is slavery just another form of labor, rape another kind of sex? We're just animals, right? Or are we just carbon and water? I think it was the Lincoln Project that recently went down the Ten Commandments and suggested Trump violated all of them. The basic ideas of behaving decently have been known far before progressive liberalism. We're just a more secular society of late and express the ideas differently. Not lying, coveting, stealing and the rest has been around for quite a while.

North Korea could indeed send substantial numbers (as I stated) to try to tip the balance to Russia's favor.

North Koreans aren't going to surrender en-masse. They are too brainwashed. Plus the regime will threaten to torture to death the families of anybody who does. [As a point of reference, the Chinese committed almost 3Million troops into Korea in the Korean War. Only about 20,000 surrendered]

We are indeed facing an alliance of China-Russia-North Korea-Iran. IMHO, we are going to see Asian troops of this alliance in Ukraine, if not Europe. If Ukraine falls, the Russians are not going to stop. The one thing Europe doesn't have to defend itself is manpower.
