That was a good interview with Bret Weinstein and I was going to recommend it here when it first came out. The other side is saying the election of Trump would be the end of America as we know it.

When Trump ran in 2016, there were people who were very concerned. This was already posted several years ago, but someone asked me what I thought of Trump. I said, "It's all bread and circuses anyway so might as well get some entertainment on the way down." At that time, early 2016, America as we knew it had already ended and the success of Trump was just a manifestation of it. Trump is one small step from what we've had toward a strongman. A strongman would have been beneficial in many areas, even at that time, and moreso now. So the emergence of Trump was just a recognition that a strongman would probably be beneficial. It has nothing to do with Trump. A full blown strongman will not emerge from the type of background Trump is from. Aeden recently posted on the Venezuelan gangs who took over an apartment building in Colorado while the owners and police and whoever else were unable to do anything about it. Venezuela, unfortunately, is the type of background from which a real strongman can emerge. That's the type of thing that we are starting to get, as in the early Spring robins are already out on the lawn. Some Americans have the background from which a real strongman can emerge too, like whichever cops will be on the other side of the apartment building takeover in Colorado and who will ultimately run the Venezuelan gangsters out, etc.

Yesterday I dropped by the apartment office to turn in the keys. Pre dark age it would have been a simple matter of walking in and having someone come to the apartment to do a move-out condition check, turning in the keys, and probably leaving a forwarding address. However, upon getting to the office around 3 pm in the afternoon, everything was locked up. There was a sign on the door saying the office was closed and there was a training session in progress. I thought that kind of strange, as it was the end of the month and there would typically be several move-outs being completed that day. I stood at the door for a minute or so holding a cup containing all the keys in view for anyone who might see it. Then I saw a security guard dressed in a blue uniform coming toward the door. I told him what I needed and he went back and got someone to take the keys. A woman about 100 pounds overweight came out to get them from me. I asked if there was anything else that needed to be done such as leaving a forwarding address. She said not right now, but that I would be receiving an email from them to reply to so that they would have my forwarding address. This morning I logged into my account and paid the water, sewer, garbage, etc., that was billed for the month of December. I thought it unusual that they would be so far behind on their billing and wondered how many skip out without paying the last 3 months of these charges, many of which are now inflated and ridiculous. The total came to $155. When I rented the place 19 years ago, the miscellaneous monthly charges were around $30. It seems a logical conclusion that the apartment management staff was threatened or assaulted recently, perhaps as recently as yesterday, and the office was suddenly locked down and a security company called in. Normally when the office is going to be closed for any reason, an email is sent but in this instance no email was received.

“These guys are professional squatters,” Woodward told The Daily Caller. “They know what they’re doing, they know they’re going to eventually be kicked out of there, but they get a free place in a nice neighborhood before the legal system kicks in.”

And boy did the squatters enjoy their time. The quiet, affluent neighborhood turned into the biggest party street in Los Angeles. For months, the squatters hosted all-night raves filled with hundreds of people, illicit drug use and thumping dance music that lasted into the morning. They even allegedly sold entry to the parties, making thousands off the stolen property.
