This reminded me of something. Back in 2013, several cycle analysts were talking about a 13 year cycle of Fall crashes. Garrett Jones (who is quoted here) may have been one of them and also possibly Peter Eliades. The Fall crash cycle they were talking about was 1974-1987-2000. The idea was they were expecting that to repeat in 2013 but it didn't. Here we are close to another 13 year juncture.aedens wrote: Mon Jul 06, 2026 7:31 pm H notes:

He also comments: "Our government has literally created a situation where more and more people are dependent on the government (which is broke). So, in reality, it is the employed part of the country that is supporting the government and the unemployed and dependent. This separates America on many levels. The obvious separation is between rich and poor, or, more accurately, between employed and unemployed. The deep concern is that middle group that still has a job but is just making ends meet.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

“The bill proposed in Massachusetts would limit how far you can drive in your own car. So lawmakers say it would help reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions. Now, while no specific mileage limit was listed, the bill would require MassDOT to set goals to reduce the number of statewide driving miles. It would also establish a new council to find ways to make public transportation more accessible for residents. Now, critics say A cap on personal vehicle miles would directly impact those in rural parts of the state.”
The committee gave it a favorable 4-1 vote and shipped it to the Senate Ways and Means Committee, keeping the radical plan alive on Beacon Hill.
