The province of Keiv, including the City of Keiv, is a big political problem for Moscow.
The last elected President of Ukraine ( elected in 2010), the pro-Moscow Ukrainian President, one of the two men who now claims to be the official President of Ukraine, did not win a single Presidential election district in either the Kiev regional Oblast, nor the Kiev municipal Oblast.
Out of a total of eighteen 2010 Presidential election districts in the entire province of Keiv ( 8 in the Kiev Regional oblast and 10 in the Kiev Municipal Oblast ) the pro-Moscow Presidential candidate won exactly zero (0).
The anti-Moscow Presidential candidate won all 18 presidential election districts.
17 out of 18 of those districts were over 60% anti-Moscow.
3 were over 80% anti-Moscow.
In the 2012 Parliamentary elections, the two largest anti-Moscow parties ( Farther Land and Freedom ) won 12 out of 13 Single Mandate Election Districts in the Kiev Municipal Oblast.
Within the Province of Kiev, the closer you get to the capital city ( Kiev city ) the more anti-Moscow the people vote.
The province of Keiv has the most people of any province in Ukraine, 4.5 million.
Moscow must find a way to be more popular in Kiev, not less, if it wants it's allies in Ukraine to rule in Kiev.
