60 million slaves in the US? Try again. Maybe 60 thousand by the definitions given.

yeah but...but...obama just said that the kind of violence like what happened in charleston doesnt happen in other countries...

"we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries"

so is he categorizing the nations in africa and the middle east where this violence is a daily occurrence as retrograde, and not advanced, nations, or is he just lying...AGAIN...

“According to Free the Slaves…….. India has the largest number of people in slavery: 14 million.” AND THEN THIS..“…..it's estimated that there are 60 million slaves in the US today.” HUH?
Apparently, one definition of slavery is “unhappy with your job” and that brings us to 60 Million or more so the problem of slavery is worse than we thought. Obvious errors as this cast doubt on the whole work. The 4th Turning is, what, 10 years late by now?

Let's see. 12 people shot dead in the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris this year and 8 children stabbed to death in Queensland just before Christmas last year just to offer two examples of mass violence recently in "advanced" countries. Unless Obama doesn't consider France and Australia "advanced" countries. Nah. Seems like he is simply lying again for political purposes.

John -- "Other terms that describe slavery are: debt bondage," --- hmmm that might include a large portion of the US population, --- mortgage , car payments , credit cards, etc. --- Oh, I forgot these debts are " voluntary"

What does one make of this.

http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/two-cia ... f-cocaine/

"El Paso| A group of minutemen watching the Mexican Border for illegal migrants and drug traffickers, have proceeded to the citizen arrest of two men in an SUV, carrying 1300 pounds of cocaine. The volunteers were completely astonished when the two arrestees pulled out CIA ID cards and explained they were actually carrying the drug as part of their duties and that the cargo belonged to the Central Intelligence Agency."

"Both the border patrol officers and minutemen seem unconvinced, however, and many of them seem to believe that the secret service agency is hiding something. The U.S. custom services have even announced a thorough investigation to try and verify the two men’s story."

“Both of them had valid accreditations and a receipt for their cargo” says Shawn Francis Miller, spokesman of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the El Paso sector. “What drug dealer in his right mind, demands a receipt for 1300 pounds of cocaine? There is really something strange about these guys, and we believe the CIA possibly knows more than what it is ready to admit.”

Is no one going to question (or correct) the ridiculous and exaggerated claim of 30-40 Million Slaves worldwide, yet 60 million in the US alone??
