I don't think war with NK would debunk GD; just the opposite. It would confirm it.

Still bashing Trump, eh? I can't stand you useless snowflakes in your hipster skinny jeans. Thank God for nuclear weapons. American millennials couldn't hang in a war. America would face certain defeat without our nukes...

There IS an "irrational" hostility between the people of N.Korea and America (US).

(( I put irrational in quotes because hostility between "competing tribes" (fighting for limited "food"/resources) during generational crisis times are not actually irrational, as each is RATIONALLY afraid that the other wants to exterminate them. "Mass behavior" is based on fear and/or euphoria, and when the "panic threshold" is reached (driven by the "fear of losing" or the "euphoria of being invincible") no "government" can stand in the way of the masses. ))

American people "irrationally"(?) think that The Country of North Korea wants to lob nukes at them, and are "irrationally"(?) hostile at those who would nuke them.

North Korean people "irrationally"(?) think that The Country of The US (America) wants to take away their God-like Provider "slash" Abusive Father Figure, leaving them "fatherless" and "without meaning", and are "irrationally"(?) hostile toward their lifelong enemy who only wants their utter "identity" annihilation.

Little Kimie IS a psychopath. That's true. But it's not HIS (sole) fault that the psyche of N.Korea has been bent into the nightmare that it is. He's a product of his nations "fears" (and hopes), just as is every other N.Korean.

Our leaders are not psychopathic (until they prove themselves demonstrably as such), and are simply a symptom of our nations' "fears" (and hopes), just as is every other American (US).

It only takes one to tango, as they (don't actually) say, when it comes to hostility.

The LACK OF MEMORY (in the young) about where hostility leads leads the young hordes to euphorically prune their own society of "excess consumers" with the blade of the enemy.

..and once the ball starts rolling, the wailing of their dying comrades in arms turns that euphoria to panic, then to desperation that if the fight is not fought their very identity will be erased from existence, which accelerates the ball rolling, until abject horror is not only tolerable, but welcome and used as "the final solution" to the terror of life having no value other than to take life.

Then the shock of what actually happened teaches it's lesson, and the young are no longer young, but elder teachers, whose tenure to teach lasts only until they fade away with time.

..and the world spins on..

That's a very insightful analysis for the way the world works.

By the way, how are you coming along with your novel series based on
an ancient conflict between several Generational-Dynamics-Aware
"secret societies" trying to guide mankind for their various
"interests"?

I'm waffling between further weaving the plot-lines of these idiotic "secret" societies' endeavors to "exploit" their "secret all-powerful knowledge", and otherwise designing and building a cheap ocean-going two person proa cruiser (sailboat) to escape to the mid Pacific islands so as to die of radiation poisoning (or less probably explosive overpressure) on my beloved ocean where it's at least warm most all of the year.

Having the "secret knowledge" of GenDynamics is seeming more and more like having a philosopher's stone which transmutes lead into gold, only to not know where to find any lead, and there being no one who wants to buy gold even if one DID have some to offer at VERY reasonable prices!

Neither I nor they can eat gold, it seems.

Perhaps the story (stories) of the secret history behind history would be a farce featuring fools being manipulative magicians of self-defeating machines of their own making, told by a perceptive but picayune wannabe mage of said secrets, as a tale of sound and fury signifying nothing,.. other than the futility of trying to manipulate the very laws of the universe in ways they will simply NOT be manipulated.

Perhaps pulling a "secret lever", known through "secret knowledge", simply necessitates the "hand of God" pulling another "secret lever" that makes the goal of the first "pull" just... silly? If the "goal" is to change the tilt of the planet to "make the seasons more equitable", then the effect MUST be to make the planet a molten ball, of no use whatsoever!

I do love farces and screwball comedies though. :) That's rather what "politics" is turning into,.. and trying to make this farce more "just and equitable", or even survivable, may well make it all the quicker into that molten orb I mentioned above.

Perhaps (a word I overuse, I know) we need another "Babel" event, that scrambles the national/group generational timelines thoroughly, and more evenly spreads the genocidal urge over time. The urge to genocide is universal, and a cosmic constant, that might only be "manipulated" by "the group" that knows that the only "solution" to it is to distribute the urge such that it's as dilute as possible.

Of course, that "secret lever" will most likely necessitate yet ANOTHER, and different, pull of the "hand of God".

This doesn't sound like a good novel.

There's no such thing as ANY scenario that can't be made into a good novel, but it WOULD take an "interesting treatment" to make it entertaining! :)

It kinda seems to me that treating this something like a "DiVinci's Code/Demons/Whatever", but with 4 or 5 analogues to the Catholic Church each fighting the others, where all the parties to the saga are a variant of the Keystone Cops, might do it some justice. <chuckle!>

..and car chases! There have to be MASSIVE car chases. And maybe zombies.

Hmm,.. maybe not zombies... unless North Koreans count as "zombies"?

Involving The Rock and Charlize Theron..

.."involving"!?

Toss Vin Diesel in there, and it OBVIOUSLY canʻt miss.

A sex scene between the Rock and Vin Diesel? I'll pass.

This novel/movie is getting even worse.
