This is in reference to what? The Poland-Belarus as a war start? Burma as in India vs. China? China vs. Taiwan-Japan? Green vs. Orange in Ireland? Green/Blue vs. Orange/Red in the US? While John's Generational Dynamics as the Sole Source of War can be overly simplistic (BUT a good source on psychology) in modern societies instead govern through mass propaganda. For a little while longer WW 2 will govern in the US; this is the probable explanation of Joe Biden's being favorable to Putin--the successor to Uncle Joe Stalin--and to Communist China. The Communists were our allies in WW 2. The concept is that to keep it that the Hallowed Dead Buried in Normandy Shall Not Have Died in Vain America MUST follow pro-Communist foreign and domestic policies. BTW, which side is/was John on in the Greek Civil War right after WW 2?

I hope Lukashenko understands just how out of control things could get due to this decision.

I agree. This is a disaster waiting to happen, and I don't see how it
will end well for Belarus -- or for Poland for that matter.

How about brace for impact?

For all of the above reasons.

How can anyone support the Communists in Greece? Haven't any of you seen Eleni?

I have a paid subscription to the Daily Telegraph. I received this email tonight. I would like to share it with John and the others.

Talking Point

By Louis Emanuel,
ASSISTANT FOREIGN EDITOR

BELARUS | In the small town of Shiladze on the Great Zab River in northern Iraq there is a brisk trade in old cars and homes.

Money from the sales is being used to pay for long journeys to freezing cold Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

But why?

People from Shiladze and many towns like it have been drawn to curious adverts on social media, promising smooth travel and visas on a “conventional” route into prosperous Europe.

But this morning thousands of destitute migrants are stuck on the border with Poland after Belarus was accused of attempting to force them into the EU.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, dubbed Europe’s last dictator, appears to be making good on a promise to “flood” the EU with migrants in retaliation for sanctions.

Campbell MacDiarmid, our Middle East Correspondent, has found adverts on Iraqi social media inviting people to uproot their families for a shot at a better life.

"European airlines only, need 1.2 million refugees. Seize the opportunity. Pay us after arrival,” they say.

Up to 400 people from Shiladze alone have flown to Belarus already this year, with more leaving by the day.

Meanwhile, Roland Oliphant, our senior foreign correspondent, is witnessing the grim crisis unfold at the Polish border.

Helicopters whirr over birch forests where families huddle around fires from felled branches.

Polish soldiers watch from behind razor wire fences trying to catch migrants — now pawns in a toxic row — that dare to make a dangerous dash for the dream they were so dreadfully mis-sold.

In response, the EU is now considering funding controversial border walls around the bloc in a major U-turn. Follow the latest here.

An Iranian-backed militia has raided the US embassy in Yemen and stolen US government property. It has also taken Yemenis working for the embassy hostage.

Do you think Russia will invade the Ukraine soon? maybe this will coincide with an attack on Taiwan?

** 12-Nov-2021 World View: Russian troops massing on Ukraine border

There have been reports for a few weeks that Russia has been massing
troops on the Ukraine border. This has led the US State Dept to warn
Europe that "Russia could invade Ukraine."

As I understand it, winter is the best time of the year for a ground
invasion. For most of the year, the ground is soft and soggy, but in
winter the ground is hard, able to support armored vehicles.

So maybe Russia is planning to invade Ukraine, or maybe Putin is
playing games by massing troops to get everyone nervous.

In the meantime, the situation on the Belarus-Poland border is
becoming desperate, with thousands of migrants from the Mideast,
Africa and Asia trapped in the forest on the Belarus side of the
border, unable to go back to Minsk or go forward into Poland.
Temperatures are below freezing, and the migrants are largely
unprepared for the low temperatures. Putin is supporting Belarus and
demanding that the EU permit the thousands of migrants to enter Poland
for humanitarian reasons.

As for a Chinese attack on Taiwan, I've heard speculation from
analysts that it could occur after the Olympics next year. This
speculation is interesting because I've never heard of this idea
before, except in this forum.
