Could Europe actually starve this winter?

Barring all out war,
there certainly won't be mass starvation or mass freezing deaths in Europe this winter.

Actually, he is selecting self-proclaimed sanctuary cities.

Actually, this is one of the most brilliant political moves ever made, and I don't think the feds can do anything to stop it, because the illegal aliens actually want to go to these big blue "welcome centers," rather than stay in Podunk, TX. I don't see it stopping until the border is closed. They will certainly never run out of funding. Texans (and normal people from all over the country) will open up their pockets and give generously to continue this program, if asked. God bless Governor Abbott.

Yup. And it shows how anti-American and hateful Bobby B is of his own country. He cares more about other people than his own fellow countrymen. So his political party can win more, and act like they feel good about themselves, while also demonizing their own fellow citizens (who they wanted to bear the costs for their folly, as usual). This is the classic example of why America is failing, and the perpetrators can't even admit they are causing the destruction due to their illegal activities and policies. Rather, they rejoice in them and then also call you names like racist, which don't even make sense anymore, even if they weren't total lies.

One of the sanctuary cities has a statue in the harbor, something of a symbol of America. As we have touched on what the American values should be, this might possibly be relevant. Why be a sanctuary city? What led America into being the colossus she became?

On one extreme we have some who want to ship the problem elsewhere. On the other, there is an urge to solve the problem and help the people. Where is the hate? If the people are of another kind, who is into racism? Now that the Europeans are already here, should we forget the values that brought them here?

America has been oft divided. The spirit expressed on the Statue of Liberty and chauvinism. Equality and prejudice. Openness and clinging tight to people like yourself. Caring and hatred. Will they let Africa starve?

Africa has been hit very hard by Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine and blockade of the Black Sea ports, with the results that Ukraine's massive grain crops have been unable to reach ports in Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa.

in a complicated multinational negotiation, led by the United Nations during the last three or four months, Russia will allow these huge tankers to dock at the Port of odessa, load up on honing your skill actually green, and then travel to Istanbul where the Turks will inspect it. once the inspection is complete, the tanker can proceed to a final destination.

as I understand it, only one of these tankers has yet reached a destination, and that destination is in Djibouti. however, that tanker contains only a small fraction of grain that the Horn of Africa needs.

by the way, I have to make a correction to my previous post, where I said that there would not be Mass starvation or massive people freezing to death in Europe this winter.

this morning I heard an analyst say that there would be starvation in Europe this winter and people freezing to death because of the Ukrainian War but he didn't indicate whether that would be massive people or just small pockets of people.
